Ideas for Payback
So I've been playing Payback everyday for a while now and I've been thinking on a couple of things I'd like to see in the game and that I think would make the game better. Of course, this is just my opinion, other people might not agree and that's fine.
A. Game modes
1. Drag mode for speedlists
2. Runner mode for speedlists
It can work like 4 cops vs 4 racers or everyone escape from A.I. cops.
3. Events for online free roam
As for now free roam is empty. We need events like races, drift, drag, etc that people can go into while in free roam.
4. Cop chase for online
It can be triggered by bait crates on map, but it would be better if it was free around the world until you loose the cops.
5. Free roam cop chase for offline
Just like the cop chases we already have, but without checkpoints.
6. Custom events for online free roam
I know this would be hard to develop, but if we could create custom events on free roam it would be SO ASESOME!
Possible options to create custom event:
- Race/Drift/Drag/Offroad (Mostly to lock type of car for event)
- Choose starting point and destination point by marking on the map
- Enable/Disable A.I. cops
- LVL 299/LVL 399 (Choose to only be able to play with 299 LVL cars only or 299-399 LVL cars)
- Custom LVL gap (Like from X LVL TO Y LVL or no more than X LVL or no less than X LVL)
- Limit to car type: Muscle/Exotic/Tuner/All
- Double run (If enabled players would have to reach destination point, turn around and race to the starting point)
7. Ghost mode speedlists
Like normal speedlists but without hit collisions. Honestly, I love speedlists, but people just crash into everyone so they don't loose, and that is really annoying. It's a race game, not a demolition game, which brings me to the next idea
8. Demolition mode for online speedlists (and maybe free roam?)
It can be like Burnout Paradice where everyone has to destroy the rest of the cars, last one standing wins.
9. New Game +
Option to restart story mode with cars we already have. Or maybe we can unlock them back as story progresses. Of course, no tokens/credits/cars loss while restarting
10. Ultra hard difficulty
A.I. difficulty is low when playing offline.
B. Visual & Performance
1. Increase wrap slots (unlimited if possible)
2. Removeable hoods without having to use glitch
Maybe other parts as well?
3. Select multiple layers
On wrap editing we should be able to choose multiple layers to delete/paint/move/resize/rotate them at the same time. It gets annoying having to go one by one.
4. Tint windows with any color
Right now we can only tint it black or apply a color layer, but that's not the same
5. More and better options for rearview mirros
All cars have the same ones and they aren't that good looking
6. Led Wheel Light Rings
Maybe with animations or just LED rings
7. More rims and tires options for offroad type cars
8. LVL 299 cars should be upgradeable to 399
9. Option to roll tokens with 2 criteria locked
Instead of just locking 1 (type/brand/perk), we should be able to lock 2 at higher token cost. I would say lock 3 criteria, but i think that's too much.
10. Available wheelie bars for all drag cars
Not all cars need wheelie bars, but wheelies get annoying after a while and we can't stop making wheelies with drag cars.
C. DLC
First, DLC cars MUST be balanced or it can become pay-to-win, and nobody wants that. Also, not everything needs to be DLC.
1. Fast & Furious car pack
I'm a huge Fast & Furious fan and I'd love to see their cars in game. I'd love to see the Flip car, Ice charger, RX-7 ED (tokyo drift one), etc.
2. DC superheroes car pack
What's better than being able to race with the batmobile!
3. New car pack
Some cars like Agera S, Sesto elemento, Carrera GT, RX-7 Fortune etc can be added as a pack of cars.
4. Rocket League car pack
Some of rocket league cars are toy-ish, but there are some cars like Endo, Werewolf, Dominus, Dominus GT that would fit great in payback.
5. Avengers: Infinity War Visual pack
Infinity war is closer every day, a pack of decals with Marvel characters would be great to celebrate 10 years of film and would be great for marketing 😉
Maybe even visual customization parts for some cars like the hulk punches from Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift?
6. Skin pack
It can be inspired by famous racers cars, or new designs for popular cars in the game. It can include decals and visual parts as well.
D. Fixes
1. People who leave ranked speedlist should be penalized
2. Fix bad respawns
Some respawns are not correct. Specially when falling out of curves, car just respawns with speed on the edge of the curve to fall again without enough time to react and change direction.
3. Respawn button
Sometimes people take a wrong turn and have to drive back, that takes a lot of time and basically costs the whole event. We need a respawn button to immediatly respawn back to the road. Automatic respawn does not work all the time when taking wrong turns.
4. Add option to disable respawns when crashing in online events
It's faster to start moving and recover from crash than waiting for respawn. Starting people might need automatic respawn, but the enable/disable option should be added for everyone else.
5. Resize Invisible walls
There are some parts on the map, specially on offroad where people crash into invisible walls int he air over rocks (or other things) when jumping.
6. Rebalance offroad cars
Bel air and mustang are way better than the rest of offroad cars. Barracuda is a bit lower, but the rest of offroad cars don't stand a chance against these 2. We need an upgrade to the rest of offroad cars or new cars to face the OP duo. I'd say something similar for race RSR since everyone uses it on ranked speedlists, but offroad cars have a more urgent need to get rebalanced.
