So, EA finally noticed this thread is not dying and it's the biggest thread ever on the forums and is now planning to do something about the massive bad feedback they are receiving for this? Let's see how it goes then. I agree that an official statement about what is happening would be really nice. I bet it won't be the same person posting again, I bet someone realized the mess his comments created and took him out of here. 😛
To be honest after all the effort I put into getting all golds, I would hope they don't change anything. I imagine anyone else who did also feels the same way.
I mean sure that sounds selfish, but it's not as if it's unachievable. Nothing is broken, nothing is impossible, the only problem have with it is that it's not easy. If there was something actually stopping you from being able to unlock it, it would be a different story.
It took me twice as long as 100%ing the rest of the game, but I got there in the end because I kept at it rather than waiting for it to be brought down to my level. It just takes practice. If you can't do it then you shouldn't have the achievement/trophy, and that goes for any any of them that are too difficult to obtain. They are called trophies and achievements after all.
You don't see people asking for Super Meat Boy or Raiden IV's achievements to be toned down, so why is this any different?
No, because super meat boy is a perfectly fine game. Even Trials, the hardest game to complete in my opinion toned down the Marathon achievement on the 360 because they realized only a few people could unlock it and it was not a fun achievement to go after, so they made it FUN.
Achievements should be fun to get, and almost everyone that unlocked this still agrees it's not fun at all to get, it brings up the worst of the game and it should be patched, you're the only one stating otherwise. I didn't even bother playing, it's simply not fun because this need for speed is not a good game in my opinion and I didn't bother. I actually have no idea if I could unlock it or not and that's not the point at all...
Killer Instinct launched with achievements for playing 2000 matches per fighter. It's completely possible to do it, but it was patched to 200 matches because it was simply stupid. Watchdogs had that stupid drinking game achievement that was hard as hell. I did it before the patch, but people complained, it was toned down and I completely agree with them, it was poorly done and not on par with the rest of the game, I was happy to see ubisoft hears the complains people make and changes things accordingly.
Several issues have already been pointed out related to this update. People that did it on time and did not get the gold. People that have a delay from when they finish the race and the time the game tracks. The random car spawns, the impossibility to quick retry the event if you are being chased. It's just a bad DLC that makes everyone see all the flaws the game has. Someone having the patience and skill necessary to unlock it does not make it good.
Quake IV has achievements for being number one on the leaderboards, do you think those are good achievements? It's perfectly doable. Why didn't other games do the same? Because people realized that this was the worst achievement possible to include in a game. Achievements, as every other part of the game should be FUN and this one, no matter how you look at it, is not fun at all, no matter if it's possible or not to do it.

If a developer wants to tone down an achievement then they're free to do so for whatever reason. But the point I was making that people shouldn't expect or demand that to happen unless something's unattainable in some way. Everything here unlocks despite the topic stating it to be impossible, and now that people have been spending the last few months working towards it, it should stay.
It would be a slap in the face to change it now, especially for people like me who got golds under the assumption nothing would be changing.
Personally I didn't experience any issues with the Watch Dogs drinking game and I'm not familiar with any of the other examples, but if I unlocked one of those and they were made easier because people wanted it handed to them while I was out there unlocking them, then I would feel the same way. It's an achievement to show off the fact that you achieved something. Whether it's poorly implemented, not a fun achievement or just not something you don't want to do.
Yes this achievement is difficult and frustrating but so are many others I've unlocked. If I didn't want to deal with any frustration, I simply wouldn't bother to unlock them, it's that simple. All you get for your efforts here is a little badge saying you were able to do it. If you can't or won't do it, then it's obvious you shouldn't have that badge. This one has the benefit of not being required to unlock or progress through any new content or even the platinum trophy, so it applies here especially.
Ok I understand Your point and now You understand my point. Also did this and this is not fair. And how You convince people who did this and think the same like people who didn't?Because i still feel like someone slap me face. Also did this trophy. Another issue is that You are fight with bugs, lags stupid AI not with skill. And another and last issue. Ok perhaps will not change. I did this and said goodbye all games from EA for behaviour and this mess. How many people here did the same. A lot. Another examples with hard trophies in other games is not......good idea because are suggestions:
1. You not play more than 50h or don't know what it different between skills, against game who work properly. In this game count 80% luck 20% skill, bugs, lags and stupid idea is in 80%.
2. You are selfish like You said. Not a bit, but a lot because this seems. I did this and know You fight with bugs in this game like me because I want do this!!!
When in this world dissappear respect, help without advantages and etc. You are great example guys who never understand. You will be mad if will be patch who can help other people. Maybe switch side and see how this look from other side because right now You are above.

One guy from 45 who did and this should stay, Very good options. I understand that You only buy next NFS because right now most of us avoid every game from EA. Very good direction NFS going. It is more interesting than I though. Need For Speed for hardcoore players 🙂
The difference with super meat boy is you know the difficulty before you start. You can make a decision, do i start this game knowing what I am getting myself into. With DLC you have no chance to make such a decision. It is added to you profile whether you like it or not. And with this DLC it is so far away from the difficuly of the main game (and any other NFS game) that you had no idea it was coming. I disagreed with Naughty Dog in Uncharted 3 with the DLC they added. I did it but I still disagreed and as such did not buy Uncharted 4.

just writing to see that I haven't forgotten you. Like all of the players that you have pissed off for sure. The second reason to write a new post here is to see if you are going to like it. It turns out that you are pretty active lately even though is not so obvious lol. I decided not to buy new NFS if you didn't change the stupid gold times even though I got the trophy. But now I thought a little bit and decided not to buy other game from EA at all if you continue to be so stubborn about this. Yes Battlefield 1 comes out at the end of the year. And I am (or was we will see!) a big fan of the game for sure. Yes bud if you don't do anything what people in this forum say to you I won't buy it. And I am sure that lots of other people will also do it. At the time when Battlefield comes out also Mafia will be out , Watch dogs and Gran Turismo also will be out around the publishing date of BF1. Believe me the gamers will not get bored if they don't play your games because there are much other very worth playing games by other developers. You are not alone on the market. Just hope that you understand it although your attitude is not showing it.

@Zerathel:Just watched your YouTube videos bud. Laughed a lot and remembered how many ridiculous situations I also had on my way to getting the trophy. Now of course it is funny when I watched mostly because I'm happy that I don't have to deal with this game anymore. But in the moment I was not happy at all for sure. I'm just very sorry that I didn't saved the videos with the stupid situations with the traffic and the cops I was involved in. For sure the 500GB on my PS4 wouldn't be enough for this :D:D
