As the devs and or EA don't seem interested in fixing this someone else did ... jackfuste.
Perhaps that was what they were waiting for ... why spend resources and time on a fix they already have our money.

I won't be buying anymore EA games in the future until I know the FOV/aspect ratio/HUD etc. are correct in multi-monitor and ultra-wide setups such as 21:9 and 32:9.
Is it really that difficult for devs to understand screen aspect ratios only ever get wider or narrower and as such the vertical FOV should be locked in all instances and it has nothing to do with the physical size of the screen/s.
