It's Too Bumpy

I can't tell you how many races I've lost and high heat races I've just been thrown out of just for racing on the road. I understand the simulation of realism, but I can literally get sent flying for rolling over a bug. Here it is, I'm doing a normal race on hard and I get to a turn. Before I know it, I'm in the air unable to turn my car and I get thrown into the dirt, out of the corner, and completely miss my checkpoint. I can't tell you how many times I've raced on a straightway and got thrown in the air at just the right time to barely miss a steer. I've jumped during a drift so many times. You can go 120 mph, half the max speed of your car and still get sent flying. Add more gravity. I don't need to jump every 2 meters just to feel a little realism. The sidewalks and off-road are bumpy enough.

Game's handling is fine, but there are a few weird spots where you are launched into the air when you hit them at a certain angle and speed. Hills and bumps are fine IMO (make things more interesting), but there are definitely a few buggy spots. There's one at the Oval and one in Discovery/Discovery C that I can replicate a launch 100%.

The car should be more manageable and easy to steer, you should not fight with it!

    Yes!!!!

I do not want to relive Need For Speed 2015's (Need For Speed Reboot's) driving experience again.

Played that game, got frustrated with its handling, and never looked back.

fine while your car is at pro or super level.
When I started playing I enjoyed handling. But as power began to increase, handling began to worsen.

Got some specific cars in mind that you hate? Been driving the F40, the Exige, the P1 GTR and the 918, all fully maxxed on parts and engine-swapped and the handling is pretty good on all of them. All slightly different though, the F40 is stable as a rock but understeers, the Exige has snap-oversteer, but can be throttled out of nasty situations, the P1 GTR is slippery and can go into drift at high speed corners even with track tires/suspension. But all quite manageable. I really like that these cars all have different personalities and different driving styles. FXX-K Evo is also very nice.

Didn't like the Koenigsegg, it's fast in a straight line but steers like a *. Same for the C AMG.

@KazeNoSokudo Right on man, i like having to brake early to undercut somebody, or late brake em to dive in on the inside. Blippin the throttle to ease it through the corner.

@GUCCIxADIDASThe physics in this game are fine you just need to add the right parts if you want a racing simulator. Here is how i do it. Gas to Drift in combination with Traction Control on is perfect for a grip build i use race or track parts not both if i want more grip i use drag tires for that simulation, "cornering is not the best with drag tires so you need to find the best race line (Slow in Fast out in corners)". Make sure in the live tuning put the steering sensitivity to low and Downforce on high (for grip builds only)

  • @GUCCIxADIDAS Oh. Okay. Yeah, I misunderstood what you were getting at. But I'm not afraid of simulators. I have played them. I just don't like them when I don't want to play them. I want to play a more arcadic game. Like Midgnight Club, The old Forzas and GTs, and Ridge Racer. Even so, this game is too bumpy. I fly over turns when I try to get the best cornering. I fly in places I shouldn't be flying. I've lost too many races because of this. It's not even like I'm going off the road into the dirt. I'm corning as best as I can and - boom - I hit a bump on the road and miss a checkpoint.
  • @KazeNoSokudo Console. It happens just about every race. Sometimes it happens in a spot where it doesn't affect too much, but most times, it happens at the worst times. Going into turns, cornering, it happens so many times.
  • @GUCCIxADIDAS I do sometimes. But that activates my drfiting sometimes which ends up messing up my handling. It also doesn't change the fact that my car could get sent flying from me going jut 60 mph nor does braking help when I'm steering through a light turn.
  • @NLxAROSA Not only that but the Koenigsegg is the best car for launches. It doesn't matter how slow you go. If you accelerate with it, you're flying just from hitting a pebble. The power it has is too much of a monster for me.
