I am also having this problem. I am beginning to figure out why Amazon had this on sale for $15...
Please at least tell us if you guys are working on the fix or something, because if you don't fix anything on this game you will be written down in history as one of the worst AAA title developers in the history of gaming ranking worse than SOE when they launched Planetside 2 without any optimization whatsoever.
I had switched from Forza to Need for Speed for some fun and thrills, but all I got was slowness when I am trying to drive while the rest of the world is at the normal speed and the inability to lower certain settings like shadows/textures/mesh quality along with the inability to change fullscreen resolution to boost fps. Along that note, my gpu the GT 555m is more powerful than the 8800 GTS yet I am getting completely bad fps and you guys had stated minimal specs can run this game fine at lowest settings.
What is going, you guys use to be up there! One of the best, why are you going downhill all of a sudden?
Unplug all USB devices (aside from the mouse and keyboard.) Did you have an Xbox 360 controller plugged?
Maybe you can also try to reinstall the driver. Is it a wireless keyboard?

I have the same issue. Keyboard and mouse are the only USB items attached to the computer. As the OP said, this issue only comes up AFTER changing the default resolution. Keyboard worked fine for the game until resolution was changed. Now I cannot access the game to even change it back. Thoughts?
