I have the M4 Razor with a lot of BPs to go. So I cannot answer the question. I do welcome this development for players to get a chance to Max out SE cars. Players who paid to max out their car, should still get this offer and get scrap-for-BP IMO.
My estimate is that [non-VIP] players may get about 9 BPs in two days.
I got 4 BPs out of the first 18 races but I had to pay at least 90 gold to get those as I rarely get them by picking them. 21 to go, clearly won't get them this time but they might come up again
With VIP Resets I am expecting to pick up at least 12 of the BPs over 2 days hopefully more
In fact standard reset time seems to be around 4 hours so actually VIPs should be able to pick up all 25 BPs over the 2 days with no issues - non-VIPs still have a good chance of getting the full 25 although not as good a chance as VIPs

ive only managed to get 3-4 as of the time of posting this!
but i can fully agree with you that i fully welcome this choice and those that all ready have it maxed out should also get a chance for scrap. i think special event cars should get maybe x1.3 / 1.5 extra depending on what classification the car is and what its more in line with compared to other cars within that classification.
