Linking EA account to Origin

Hello, I need assistance linking my EA and Origin accounts. When I try to play NFS: Most Wanted I get a message that says my Origin ID is already taken. However, I use the same ID for Battlefield 3. 

What can I do regarding this issue as it is becoming quite frustrating not being able to log on.
