Need for Speed Hot Persuit Remastered

Question

Iv brought this game to play on steam on pc but I cant get into the game as it says press space bar symbol to start but nothing happens doesnt even work if i press other keys just keeps playing the intro iv tried it with xbox / pc controller aswell and nothing.

can anyone please help or even EA please explain what the issue is as it seems iv wasted my money and im sure not going to buy any of the other NFS games untill i know i can play them and without issues.

I always experience the same thing when I start the game. What usually fixes it is by left clicking on the window, or using alt + tab or minimizing and maximizing the window again. Usually one of those things will get the game to become "selected" and it actually registering when I press the spacebar.

Sorry for delay in responding unpluging everything doesnt do anything but did get it working for a bit by left clicking and pressing space got it going but that is very intermitant as it doesnt always work..

Seems iv wasted money so i think its lesson learned.

Can you please try to disconnect other USB devices from your PC and keep only the mouse and keyboard to see if you're able to proceed? If that doesn't work, you can try to go to the game’s Steam properties &gt;&nbsp;Controller &gt; set "Use default settings" or "Disable Steam Input" and test again.
