Logitech G29 Nitrous button causing Map to expand, software to drop out

There is an issue with the Logitech G29 in this game. I have a brand new G29 that has been tested by Logitech and there is no Hardware problem with it. When I am driving/racing and using the X button, which is for Nitrous, occasionally, about every 15-20 button depresses, the Map will suddenly fill the screen. I have to press ESC to come back to my driving when this happens.

At first I thought I was maybe accidentally pressing an adjacent button that would cause this, but with a few days of paying close attention I've discovered I am not. The adjacent buttons are for Horn and HandBrake, the Map button (LR) is on the left side of the wheel and my fingers are nowhere near it.

Another thing that happens is sometimes, when the Map is Mis-activated like this, the Zoom feature of pressing the Gas Pedal zooms in several times and then the G29 Software drops out, the wheel then no longer operates and simultaneously the musical notes of device being removed from Windows chimes over the speakers. Then I have to exit the game and sometimes restart the computer along with the game again.

Anyone else having this issue? I called Logitech to day to address this problem and they led me to Devices and Printers in Control Panel, select G29, select  Properties, select Test where I was able to test all the buttons and pedals and wheel. They all operate perfectly. So, this is not a Hardware problem. IMO it must be some conflict in the  software between Logitech Gaming Software and NFS Payback, or just a programming glitch.
