I have no issue with that kind of aggression if on the second night out someone bounces across 5 or 6 races, avoids cops multiple times and really riles them up... But one short escape and a single race later, it was impossible to move without hitting 2 cops.
As a result, I lost nearly an hour of gameplay due to the heavy-handed removal of all my funds from the 4 or 5 races during the day and all the rep from the 1 night race. This after only being in the game for maybe 2 hours.
Level 15 or 20 on the second or third car and with a few hundred grand in the bank? Sure. Hit them with a few tough cops and a $200k fine... No problem, I'm good with that. The New Player Experience was just way too harsh, hitting someone with next to nothing to their name for everything they have worked for, is wrong.
Absolutely true. First night out with my Mitsubishi, trying to lose the cops in the city making every turn possible to no avail... tried to outrun them, nothing. Heat level 1-2 and they already were going down on me as if they didn't care for their own lives (which, if you ask me, kinda takes the realism away sometimes. Does anybody else remember the "doughnut eating / they ain't paying me enough for this" cops at heat level 1 in Most Wanted 2005?). Needless to say, got caught too. All of this would be completely fine though, if the only way to actually lose the cops weren't jumps.... Not heavy traffic zones or takedowns, just jumps. Made me fall into the long nights for RP - banking af days cycle.
For the rest shoutout to the NFS team, you did a really good game. Haven't had this much fun since the PS2 times. Just fix the cops please

Most wanted 2005 now you're talking some classic NFS when they did it right!
That game I was glued to on my PS2 back in the day.
Weekends at night were spent cashing in on races and cop chases were hours long.
I liked hanging out at the bus station and milking the rep to get a higher payout.
Good old game it was and is still today in 2020 for old memories of better times for NFS Franchise.
I do really enjoy the older NFS games even in the 1990s as I have been gaming since the 1970s.
I first got into racing games back when Atari's "Pole Position" game came out in the early 1980s.
Here is a fine example of the early days of racing for me.
Seen this video and had to share.

Enjoy and have a great day.
- 6 years ago@BLVD69 I agree with it too. Of course the game gotta give us pain in the beginning its a underground racing games. Cops dont just say go home when you speed over 50mph over the limit without pulling over. And 2005 was godly for punishing stupid racers 3 strikes and you dont take care of it well goodbye to your car. I love it when the game ain’t giving it to you for free. Plus just play easy if its too hard. Unles you stay there you got a way big enough chance to book it

My man! that's what I'm talking about. I would even challenge my friends to who would get into the longest cop chase on the highway. It made you
GUYS AT EA, IF YOU'RE READING THIS, BRING MORE DEPTH TO POLICE CHASES AND TUNE IT DOWN AT LOW HEAT LEVELS.
We're not asking for anything that hasn't been made already in the past. Takedowns, hiding spots and a goddamn difference between cops' cars performance at different heat levels. What's the meaning of heat 1-2 cops cars reaching 300 km/h and catching up no matter what you do??? Come on. I need to feel rewarded for having finally earned my top-notch fast af car. If I feel no difference because every single cop in Palm City is a godly street racer, my character might as well find a job and give up driving altogether...
Short additional story: was REP level 24, but after doing a couple races and some story events, I found myself owning $220K.. Guess what I HAD TO do: I bought a Lamborghini, not for the sake of owning it, not because I liked it, but as a FINANCIAL SECURITY. That's where we're at. I'm sorry if my tone now is more critical than my former message, but playing some more NFS Heat really grinded my gears.
