Missing Force Feedback settings, so NO feel of oversteer / understeer - steering wheels

Since the IDEA section is just a big container and not sorted by game, I'll post it here. I am using a Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel on the PC.

And compared to Burnout Paradise, in this game I feel like I am driving TOY cars. There is absolutely no feel of understeer / oversteer. And you can't even setup your Force Feedback device, for deadzone / force feedback ammount.

So the gameplay is the worst of the worst, can't even let my steering wheel slide through my hand to straighten out the car. Wich is very normal to do. It just doesn't feel like racing at all!

So I suggest to add Force Feedback settings in a next patch in de ideas section:

Does anyone experiences similar problems with this game???

Some of us PC users chose this as our free game from the Sim City launch issues - and now I can't play it with my DFGT? Really EA?

  • Yes that is the case. Just worst of the worst support form EA. Well no support at all actually. I think this is mainly due to the terrible mindset of "console-first-PC-later, or not at all..." .

I just rather keep an eye out for what Codemasters are going to do, they at least have proper support for Force Feedback Steering Wheels. E.g. in Dirt3.

And if you still want a game that works, just try the good old Criterion game "Burnout Paradise" , it just rocks with the DFGT steering wheel.

I also got this as a "be-friends-again-gift" due to the shoddy release of SimCity 5. Without any force feedback it's an absolute joke. Shape up EA. This is not hard to fix.

    Hi

G27 force feedback and bonnet view cam, missing Why? Odd decision.

Then again Logitech need to work with devs to ensure their product is used to it's full potential

shame could have been so much better,

  • On-topic again: I have lost all hope of EA / Origin ever fixing this screwed up game. What a wast of money! Since the last "major update" didn't include ANY FIX for the MISSING FORCE FEEDBACK.

I am now looking for other games that you guys know of that DO still keep on supporting the Force Feedback for PC gamers, on my list now are:

    • Burnout Paradise (from back in the day that PC gamers weren't totally sold out to the console monopoply)
    • Dirt3 by Codemasters
    • Need for speed the Run (I think it has been mentioned on forums that this was the last Force Feedback support from EA, after they screw it up with Most Wanted 2012)
    • .... any other suggestions? ....

I give up, it seems EA / Origin totally hate their loyal PC customers, probably because they bring in so little money compared to the console gamers. I'll just have to accept that they made a really fragged up crappy sequel to a great game Burnout Paradise. And that it's due to the console monopoly that we Force Feedback Steering Wheel fans get the short end of the stick at EA origin.

So to me NFS MW 2012 is just a Remote-Control racing game on PC, like Re-Volt but with a bit bigger cars that you can only properly control with keyboard and/or gamepad. Or with a very loose steering wheel that gives you no feedback whatsoever.

Goodbye EA / Origin, I'll keep telling friends to stop buying games from this crappy company. I'll stick to Codemasters for racing games, they at least keep on supporting PC steering wheels.
