I am posting this as both a request to Ghost Games, and a warning to the potential buyers of NFS Payback. Multiplayer free roam is a core element of what made NFS 2015 fun, and what people enjoyed...

^What a load of *, you don't have to grind for hours to progress in payback, I made 2million yesterday just by replaying drifting the block. The payouts are now larger, as are the bets as you progress.
The 'loot crates' in payback are pretty much useless, they are strictly for visual customization as bank and rep can be easily earned.
'Madden cards' do not NEED to be bought, it' is to my knowledge that FIFA and MADDEN are relatively similar in that respect, you can play the game and have just as much fun without getting out your wallet.
Payback is getting a lot more negative feedback than it actually diserves, if the ONLY reason you wanted payback was the online free-roam, what the problem? Pretty much everything else is there, and for the things that aren't, they may come later on in updates.
Sitting here behind your screens typing out your deepest desires for a game every day isn't going to help the developpers speed up any potential additional features to the game, nor will it give them any more authority to talk about said features.
Give it a rest and wait for news, if you don't get any, come back in a week.
Please note : firstly, EA probably do care more about cash, but they are a COMPANY, money is litteraly the ONLY thing that keeps them going and developpers employed, secondly, video game prices since 1990 have barely changed , if they can make money of extra purchases so be it. unless it renders a game COMPLETELY unplayable *cough cough* GTA V online *cough cough* then there is no reason to moan.
It's not like you have to purchase the Mazda Rx-7 in payback with your own money, it will come for free when added (this is to say that the loot crate systems don't always make a game bad)

NFS WAS A GRIND BEFORE THEY UPDATED IT AFTER THE BACKLASH OF THEIR LOOT BOXES AND HEAVY PAY TO WIN SCENARIO. DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE DEFENDING EA AND GHOST.
Do you think that writing everything in caps makes you more intimidating or intelligent?
I had the game on the day it came out, and even then I managed to upgrade a f***ton of cars, max my level and cash in a lot even before the updates came, and that was minimal grind.
So don't start lecturing me on what argument is legitemate in YOUR opinion, because based on everything you've said and the way in which you said it, I'd be better off having a conversation with a rotting dead animal.

oh yeah, and I didn't fork out any of my own cash and managed to get what I wanted.
If it's that frustrating, get into game developping and go make your own damn game, otherwise, sit tight and wait for updates.
They were still working on the game even on the launch day because of problems with certain cars, some features couldn't be added because of technical problems (e.g track width and air suspension don't mix).
And I'm not defending EA or GHOST, I'm simply saying that they have heard enough over the past weeks to be able to act accordingly and finish off the game as they were planning to anyway, even though some features such as MP free roam and different race types MAY not be added, it doesn't help to rage against them, it serves no purpose.
- @Odyco_Cody3 As much as I want multiplayer freeroam. I have too agree with @Big-Gunz9115 here. I had 11million, several cars fully upgraded and 100% achievements done in a week after release just by replaying hyperspace circuit and I didn't spend any real money at all. And that's with alot of hours spent designing paint schemes for all the cars.

- Completely missing the point though, the main issue is EA Refusing to answer the 27 page thread about online multiplayer Free roam.
The game is really dead already.
Ghost/EA came with an update, which increases our loot and rewards, FOR WHAT?! when people get most of their desired cars, win the storymode, played a few speedlists which they get really tired of because the only car you can win with is the regera.. they then leave the game to dust in they playstation library..
i dont exactly agree that we should enjoy the game, because YOU CANT?! what'ya gonna do when you completed everything which everyone already did?
IT would require less than a day, if they really want to work on need for speed, to make speedlists better to have some more people staying in the endgame, while we are waiting for the Online Free-roam.
Balance the speedlists, make more races, let us drift and drive against the police.
it took more than 2 weeks in order to release an update which required to only change a few numbers, to let us have more money after winning races.
IF i (which i am not) were a developer, this game would be Car game of the year already... People saying we just have to wait, well... you are gonna wait more than a half year most likely in this rate of development.Ok I know I am being petty when I say this... just noticed my license plates were changed on all my cars, so I go to change it back just to discover they removed the Battlefield 1 plate. A lot of my cars resemble battleship gray so the plate matched awesome. Little stuff like that bugs me, like why remove it? Also the matte and satin finish in decals still isn't representing the actual finishes. Sorry I'm still on the hate train because of no Free Roam option... /endrant
