Multiplayer PS Plus needed NFS Payback

Question

Hi there everyone,I am currently encountering some issues with Payback multiplayer. As soon as I try to enter multiplayer, the game redirects me to the PS Plus page to buy one. Whatever I try I will still land on that page. So, must we pay now to play in multiplayer mode?

On PS4 you always have to pay to use their services.

I played multiplayer a couple of times without PS Plus, but now I just get redirected to that page. Or, is it because I bought the Deluxe version?
