Music choices
I think that the game is pretty great and everything except the music has won me over. I'm not understanding why there's only maybe 3 or 4 songs in English while you're out of the garage. I have come...
I bought the game on Saturday. Seriously, this is the first game ever I remember having to turn off the music. Even wife asked after a couple of hours that what's the story with music, that's pretty much intolerable. I set up a spotify playlist in the background (actually installed spotify on my PS4 for this).
I'm an old coot by millenial standards (-82, the first millenial year by most common definition I've stumbled upon.) and my music taste seems to wildly differ from whoever decided what songs go in this game. Old underground tuner games had a lot better soundtracks imho. NFSU 1 & 2 and Carbon had so much metal and rock that I didn't get bothered by the comparatively few rap songs in the mix. MC: LA also had such heavy soundtrack I don't remember having to skip songs except really rarely. Heat on the other hand only has rap and something latin(o?) that just goes "Thump thump thump!". I was completely fed up with the music in less than three hours.
I created a playlist with some older(and not so old) rock/metal; Rob Zombie (Two-Lane Blacktop is a must for the Underground flashbacks =D ), White Zombie, Testament, Disturbed, Soilwork, In Flames, Samael... Couple of outliers that sounded fitting (Twelve Foot Ninja, Gojira, Rise Against, Grorr) and a lot of industrial metal and djent from the last couple of years. Game immediately got thousandfold better.
I really feel this sort of driving game needs a full custom playlist support with system mediaplayer & spotify integration.
