Can anyone give me a ballpark as to how much my PR would need to be to win this race? I've got a PR of 832 and the current rating of the race is hard- no matter how well I run the race, I can only ...

Right - when you are stuck in a race, almost always it is a hunter race (the only other I can think of is rush hour with a pack of F458s). Sometimes the race is labeled Easy, and you are not even capable of reaching the other car, let alone passing it...
Hunter races just work as a natural block of your progress, much more than boss races at the end of each chapter. Solution is always the same - upgrade your PR. If you are at the limit, then you have to build another (better) car :-/
@HeretikJirka yeah what's up with the F458's? They're as fast as road runners. 😞
you seem to know a lot about this game. Where are you from? I'm catching the next flight to your place, so you could help me finish the event i mentioned in my post. Damn, that's one difficult event.
Im stuck at last race with marcus king in chap19. His koenig with 971 PR was fast. Tried few runs hoping he crash but it didnt.
My mclaren had maxed out to 949 but still so much difference...

@Oan79 Pagani has too similar PR limit as McLaren, won't get you further. I know you have already completed the race, but usually the way is same as anywhere else:
1) perfect start
2) tail the adversary, use nitro early if necessary to get into contact
3) build up nitro
4) fire up nitro and pass him or ram him to the wall or even try to destroy him
5) if he's still in the race, keep him behind you

Your guidelines are just perfect. i chose to ram him and won the race after few tries.
May i ask you, what do you prefer when dealing with bends ? i found that some bends without drifting could improve my timings in tournament.
Or the timings in tournament are not relevant in the rankings. Appreciate your sharing 🙂
