Need for Speed 2016 language error but Origin is no more

I bought Need for Speed 2016 and tried to launch it. After finally managing to get through the black screen, I just get the language error telling me my account doesn't have access to the language the game is currently using and to change it. I tried to change the game's language, I've tried to change my account language, I've tried to repair the EA App, nothing worked.

The only solutions I've read online involve installing/reinstalling Origin, but Origin isn't available anymore, so how do we fix this? This should have been patched long ago

  • Well, tried launching the game yesterday and it launched. Waited to try again today and still works.

Seems like the solution is rebooting the computer, for whatever reason that links that to a language error.

    Thanks for trying though

  • Hello @SuzakuTsubasa,

Origin is not supported anymore, start off by installing the EA app and logging into your account. When you bought the game in what language was it?

  • EA App is already installed and I'm already logged in. I bought it on Steam so there's basically every language. I installed it in English, got the error, tried a bunch of stuff, tried to switch it to French to match my EA Account, didn't work, tried switching my account language, still nothing.
