Need For Speed 2022 - A Dialogue
Hey there people, I deleted my last post about this topic but I wanted to thank everyone who commented on it, I really did appreciate the feedback and I hope it's the first of many discussions abo...
Sure would be a great move if EA would hire you and I as co-producers for the next NFS game.
I will break this down into several specific posts addressing first my overall idea then hitting on your specific ideas on the game.
For my major change and challenge to the series would be to tie every past game together with one "Need For Speed Extreme" version.
This would be a 100 mile muli-loop existing of one super freeway 3 lane loop, one 2 lane highway loop, one 2 lane road loop, and one dirt road loop. All 4 loops complete, each making a full 100 mile loop. Interspersed throughout the loops would be various intersections emulating intersections such as the Dallas "High 5" and other such larger scale intersections. At these points there would be various race scenarios set up for day and night races in much the same fashion as was in NFS Heat. As well as long distance sprints or possibly even full loop races.
The point behind this "Extreme" loop game version would be to have the previous versions of NFS such as NFSU2, Carbon, ect... all be remastered to match game graphics and physics and be made available as DLC. This DLC game versions would fit into various locations around the "loop".
The idea behind this is to tie the NFS series in together into a full storyline from whichever NFS game is taken as the "starter dlc" game to the final NFS Heat game or the NFS 2022 whichever comes last.
I coming posts I will address how we would tie in your ideas (all great by the way) into my "extreme" approach.
Now we just need the powers at EA to see this and realize how much more this game could be if they put it in our hands.
Later,
Ron
This... isn't really a coherent story or even gameplay idea, if anything it's doing what NFS has been doing a little too much of in the past few years and using nostalgia as a selling point, but I appreciate your perspective.
