Need For Speed Carbon PS3: Alias not working

When trying to load my completed alias on my PS3 console, the game freezes and hence, I cannot access the game menu. 

Can this possibly be fixed?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem with a few of my other aliases years ago, however I have deleted them now.

I have been playing the game since 2008 and this problem has always bothered me. 

It would be a real shame to have to keep on starting the game again, due to the completed alias profile not working.
