Need for Speed games -- Play as police

I was hoping someone could post a list of all the need for speed games where you can play as police officer, and also that various people would post their opinion as to which one I should get (with their reasoning). Please, no one say "Get Rivals cuz it's newest," that's not really a valid reason. It is entirely possible, of course, that Rivals is the best option for me and that I'll end up getting it, but not just because it's the most recent game.
