I wish EA would consider adding a more wide selection of cars to chose from that weren't high-end super/luxury cars. If Heat is based on illegal street racing then why not add some actual street cars, like a few low-end coupes and family cars?
Instead of another Ferrari or some BMW variant, why not add some unexpected cars? In older games like the Underground series, you had no supers whatsoever, just street cars like the 2000 Honda Civic Si, or the Tiburon GT V6, even the horrible Dodge Neon got a spot in the first game.
I wanna see if people would actually agree about this. Less supers, more street cars. They may not be insanely fast like all these supercars of today, but they'd be far more unique than just another Aventador or a Chiron.
I made a list of cars that personally could fit the job, some very questionable, some fair, but I hope people suggest more.

- 6 years ago@LithTheKitten No,less super more street is a steer away from the root,I agree RX7 and NSX was in TNFS,but classic era always focus on supercars in a scenic route and (maybe) intense cop chase.Tuners era was a trend chaser rather than a stample of NFS as a whole
- 6 years ago@GK3512 Yeah i agree man i really miss those days, it was much more fun racing against a friend in split screen on a cool track. Mayby chased buy the cops in the same race, i dont get whats so fun with openworld racing.

Despite the fact that I never played the older games and only started with Most Wanted 2005, I can see what you mean. The open-world racing combined with cops (when done right) should give a chaotic feel, that allows you options to choose where you go, but even then with the pre-Ghost and Criterion games you would also be racing along a set track to some extent.
And to me the open-world aspect is being exaggerated now, what with Payback's Fortune Valley being a vast expanse of pointless desert with meaningless activities scattered around the map. Heat has also recycled Casino chips from Payback, now dubbed "flamingos" I believe. Heat looks to be going in the same direction as well... They've supposedly "reduced the number of dead-stops" (which was an issue in Payback to be fair) but this now means you can just plough offroad and who knows what consequences this will have? I'm also still not fond of durability/player health.
On the topic of cars, no one will ever be truly happy/accounted for. Everyone has their specific favourites, for example, the Ford Fiesta ST. But the issue becomes a balancing act of adding overrated or popular cars, along with trying to cater to specific cars and promoting cars to advertise them. The issue I see is that there are too many variants of one supercar as well as literally re-using the Payback car list. 4 Huràcans mean that you can't use the slot for another individual supercar, for example, an SLR, or maybe a Carrera GT. If a system where only one spec per model (generation/model year would be a different case) were incorporated along with adding some tuners and muscles to the exotics, that would help reduce excess models and be the ideal car list.
- 6 years ago@LithTheKitten I couldn't agree more. I think these underground street racing games revolve around cars you see on a daily basis or in the tuner scene.
There's alot of super cars, but we're missing so many nice jdm cars and like you said I wish they would come to the game at some point. Whether in a DLC at least.- 6 years ago@JDM_Rafael Depends on what you see as NFS.Supercars are the main focus of classic original era NFS games. It's reasonable and suitable for a NFS megamix game.I agree tuners dont need supercars(or most of supercars) but if considering full history of NFS,underground is just a trend chaser and a change of direction. Not bad for sales success, but should never outshine real original NFS cannonball style by history standard

@GK3512 Underground is what made nfs great. Sure HotPursuit was great and the supercars at that time in the game were awesome. But times have changed, and at least imo supercars are a nice addition but shouldn't outdue tuner cars. I have forza motorsport and gran turismo to help me with my supercar needs in a way better handling setting. But that is my opinion, we all have our own. We'll have to wait and see what they give us.

Sorry if I missed out something, but we need Dodge Charger SRT8 back as player racer car instead in next NFS instead of Heat. The decision to make it only as cop cars disappointed me.
Maybe also alongside Hellcat, or have Hellcat kits available.
- 5 years ago@DesertHeat220 Next NFS is still in early development. What we know about this game is Frostbite returns as the game engine and the team behind it is the same as Ghost.

And a bunch of new employees, as far as I know.
But I personally want Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Huracan as cop cars in next NFS cop roster. I find the cop roster in Heat severely lacking in variety, and both Porsche and Lamborghini cop cars could be better candidates for returning.
If there is a chance, the McLaren P1 police car from No Limits should be added in the next game's roster, as high-Heat Level cars or DLC cop cars.
Also in a twist, I would also want the new Ford Explorer as racer cars, and Ford Raptor or Chevy Colorado as cop cars.
