Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 black screen when starting an race event in game

So when I begging a race type event in the game on my Playstation 3 the screen turns black with only being able to see the logo on the up right side and the event description on the top left but I cant see the map and the other racers when the cut scene begins.

However, there is a option to skip the cut scene and doing that will load the map and racers however the game bugs out and after launching to start racing, the game will not respond to my controller and will make all the racers and me not move. Waiting for it to respond will cause my Playstation 3 to crash and will restart. This only happens when I select the race type and not in the other types.

I have tried starting the same event a couple of times more but nothing will change.

Hopefully an employee of EA will help me resolve the issue or any other person that has resolved the issue.

Also would like to l ow if it's about the storage I have left or is it an issue about the game itself.
