Need for Speed Hot Pursuit remastered, FPS unlocked?

Hey there. So as of right now NFS hot pursuit remastered is on sale on steam. Thinking of getting this game. But, is the framerate unlocked? Or do i need to download a MOD??

I wanted to get this game before, but, i remember reading a review where they indicated it is locked to 60fps.

sadly it's not unlocked. i bought it 2 days ago and also struggling with tihs problem. no mods seem to help.
