Is your PS4 abnormally hot when this happens, by any chance? The only reason I could see a game getting your console shut down regardless of faulty disc would be if it was too demanding and made the console overheat... but I think you'd be aware of that. 🙂

i've played other games including Drive Club, Call of Duty and other action

intense games all  for 2-3 hours with no overheat shutdowns....even if i go from a cold

machine(off for hours) Need for Speed will shut down my PS4 after a certain number of

seemingly random minutes usually 10-20 minutes...I will put a fan on the machine tonight before

i crank up Need....and let's see if it still shuts me down...thanks for suggestion.

no good...bought small but powerful small fan and aimed it directly

at the heat outlet at close range....i just don't see how it could be an overheat

problem after this...20 minutes into Need....off the machine goes...something is

wrong but since i don't see and cant find anyone else experiencing this ps4/Need for Speed

problem....i am just giving up on being able to run this game...i thought about even putting

a baggie full of ice on the machine for an experiment....but that seemed desperate and close to

idiotic.....😎......Drive Club game runs forever just fine....i just don't get it.

@baddoggie247 Is the console any hot when it shuts down? It could be, and that's a bit of a stretch because I know PCs work that way and console architecture is a bit different, it could be that NFS uses memory areas of your console that other games don't use, and if those areas are faulty (like the RAM is corrupted or failing), it results in a crash (on PC you'd have a blue screen of death).

Have you got a friend with a PS4 on which you could try your game and see if that error happens too?
