My save is now corrupted.I never had any save game corrupted in my ps3.I was almost finishing all the billboards, the gate and the cars.And all the races all over again, wich is a pain in the a**.But now i have to play from the scratch.[img]http://i46.tinypic.com/301hkjo.jpg[/img]

This has happened to me as well. TWICE. I can't believe a bug/glitch as bad as this has gone unnoticed, it's infuriating! Having just lost all my progress I'm not sure I care to spend ANY more time on this bloody game until its fixed. What a waste of time and money.

Same here buddy, 98% complete and like you i had to start from scratch, I'm never going to finish the game because i'm returning mine for a refund, I'll also be writing to the MD at EA Games, and to Sony in Europe, I'm not at all comfortable with having to turn off my PS3 in a manner not recommended by Sony, unfortunately when this game freezes it leaves the player with no option but to force a shutdown, I'm now less worried about corrupt data than i am about EA's faulty game damaging my PS3.

my save get corrupted too but this cause the game froze while he was saving exemple start of any race if u press power bottom at same time he's froze its certainly ur save game ll be corrupted if u wait few minutes and turn off u don't loose ur save with me this procedure worked

This happened to me today! I was playing the online multiplayer on PSN & it crashed my PS3, when i restarted the consol all the game data has vanished!! All my cars, records, everything! All i have is data starting 8th Dec, so all of Need for Speed & every other game data has gone! Gutted ☹️

Start a petition bro, This is sad! Every EA game that gets released is tested less and less. The software they are publishing is directly damaging our property yet there is no accountability. Having a backround in game developement I can say this, They are forcing products through to market knowing they are poorly tested. They have been sued on many occasions an just wiped their asses with the paperwork. We need some form of recourse! The only way that I know we can directly hurt them is to only buy their games used or not at all! This is the reality, they have too much of the market and unless that changes they will do as they please.

ISSUE RESOLVED! (Requires online storage through PS+ membership)

I have just loaded up the game today and had the same problem with my save file being reset to the beginning, extremely frustrated I looked to the Internet to see if others have had the same issue, as it seems it is quite a large issue but no clear way on how to resolve it.
But through some looking of my own I have managed to fix the problem and return my old save file.
Firstly I looked through my "saved data utility" option on the dashboard and found not only the corrupted file but also the new file it had auto saved when I booted up the game and first realised the issue.
I also then looked into the "online storage" file to find a NFS saved file from 3 days ago (the last time I played it)
I deleted the corrupted file and the unwanted file that it saved when I loaded the game up and then used the "copy" option with my original saved file on the online storage.
Once I loaded the game up after that it returned me to my previous position with all of my data returned.
I hope this will help others who have this issue if they haven't already resolved it yet.
But this is still a major issue that EA has to look into themselves and sort out.

Online storage is a really good idea (I have PS Plus too).
Unfortunately for me I didn't know the existance of the glitch - it wasn't exactly happening to everybody. That meant I didn't think I needed to back up my save file to everything - I was kind of stupid that way. But nobody would blame me since the glitch was there, and EA and Criterion were doing nothing to stop it or even acknowledging its existance.
Now I backup everything to my PS Plus Online storage - for my PS3 and Vita (and PS4 soon) - I do this for all my games. ALL OF THEM.

Saving the data online may be a workaround, but it is NOT a solution! My PS3 disc drive has died as a result of this glitch in the game. Too many times turning off when the game is frozen I fear.
