Need for Speed Most Wanted randomly freezes

While playing the game and doing nothing specific  my game would just randomly  freeze. Then the audio would go back to normal and I can continue inputting on the keyboard and I can hear that the audio is changing, except that my screen is frozen. I can pause the game and continue to drive around In game but the effect wouldn't appear on screen. Then, if I quit the game, my screen would stay black and and my PC would stay that way until I reboot it. It doesn't give me any error message or crash log. I'm running Windows 8 and have already tried running the game in compatibility mode for all of them and Uninstalling-reinstalling. I generally get good FPS while playing normally, considering I have a BEAST of a gaming PC.

My specs:

Intel Core i5 3570K

Gigabyte GTX670 Windforce 3X

8Gb ram.

    EA support is non existent...  mine freezes randomly you can hear the car still going int he background... the game is still playing... but frozen screen.  Funny thing is I got this game for Free  since they messed up SimCity so bad.  Now this game doesn't even work.  Pro f'ing status EA, pro status.

    Uhhhhhh.... guy's I fixed this a looong time ago but completely forgot about this post. 😕mileylol: It turns out I just overclocked my GPU waaaaay too high. So I just droped the clock and everything became perfect. Also try using ccleaner to fix registry errors, I think that might have helped.

    I have a great news.

    After update windows 8 to 8.1 and installing new driver 331.58 WHQL for GeForce 450GTS the game dont freezes. I played for many kilometers and changed many cars I noticed that game is now absolutely stable. And the game runs more smooth.

    ya when I play need for speed on my ps3 after a little while it does not load the rest of it and it freezes
