Need for speed payback split screen options

Question

Would Need for Speed ever add a split screen option in a update? Because not everyone has Xbox live and can play multiplayer so I’m not sure if it worth buying the the game without a multiplayer option with the split screens.

I am not sure. EA removed splitscreen some time ago to push their online passes. Although that is not around anymore, splitscreen was never re-introduced.
