Need For Speed Payback: Story and content

I finished the game in 2 days after I got my hands on it. Anyone else think the story was too short and the game had way less missions?

Very few races. No challenge series?

Online freeroam has no challenges to play with friends.

Will we be getting new content? New races?

Even the ending of the story felt too easy and unsatisfactory like there should be more to the story.

  • Consider yourself lucky you got to the end, i didn't get past the highway heist, the bodyguard cars just refuse to get demolished, unless its by their own means, i can ram them at 150MPH and it barely makes a dent and they scrape the railings and bam, they get demo'd.....sorry, but that alone has put me off of playing this game, it is just too stupid.

I mean, you cause them to go into a spin and while going at 150MPH on a straight road, they catch up within 2 seconds flat...so they must have been going over 400MPH...sorry, but cars just don't go THAT fast AND have alot of durability.

I am just gonna uninstall this poorly done game.

I completely agree with you. The difficulty ratings are so out of whack in this game. That highway heist was a million times harder than it should be on any rating other than hard. Like on easy the bodyguard cars are as hard to take out as in hard. I've made it to the last race with one of the leagues and my car is upgraded to the max and I can't physically beat the drag race even though I'm 11 levels higher. I can't upgrade any higher than what I'm at for any other cars either.

They really need to fix the difficulty issues with this game.

  • Yeah, it was very short ☹️
Started playing on monday and now a few days later i'm trying to find a reason to play it.
Also not really interested in the speedcross DLC.
Would've been great if it had an MMO part and do the races from the story with other players.
Or at least more races. Like a "race league" without any story... just, racing! Releasing more circuits and point A to point B races at regular intervals 🙂

Also think the story was to short and very repeating. Most fun I had with the Need for speed series was Need for Speed Undercover. Really had that 2Fast2Furious feeling and Maggie Q is always good. The story felt more worked out and it was more variating during play.

Doing the roaming racing mission now which feel hard and dull you can't decide on your own heading direction. In Need for Speed Undercover you had to shake down opponents but you could decide on the direction of your own.

For the ones who missed Need for Speed Undercover or for a sentimental journey:

Hoping for some free new content soon.

  • During the Highway Heist you simply just  make consistent contact with them and they slowly lose hp and will crash out once the meter is gone.

  • @djbeaudry83Yeah true. Never focus on making your opponent/cops crash. They always crash into you like maniacs and do damage to themselves.
Always fcous on making the next checkpoint as fast as possible.
