Hi. I did buy this game and want to add something to the table that might help EA to figure out this bug. Here is the thing...
I own an AMD HD5850 GPU and also an Asrock Motherboard with Intel Z77 chipset and LucidVirtuMVP chip. For those who aren't familiar with LucidVirtuMVP, it just lets you plug your monitor/tv/projector/whatever to any of your video outputs, be it the onboard or offboard video output, and lets you choose which GPU you want to be used by your game to render.
As everybody here, I have the black screen issue if I plug my TV to the AMD Video output using DVI or HDMI or DisplayPort connector and try to run the game in fullscreen. But I want to let you know that if I plug my TV to my onboard GPU (Intel HD3000) video output, DVI for example, but choose to render the game with my HD5850 (by selecting the Dedicated GPU in LucidVirtuMVp control panel), I can go fullscreen without any issues.
So, there's is something wrong involving both this game engine and AMD digital video output signal processor. The only way to not be affected by this bug when using just an AMD GPU without the help of Lucid chip is by plugging the TV to a vga (D-sub) conector, but off course the image using D-sub output is crap. Or by plugging your PC to a PC monitor instead.
I hope this helps EA to solve this issue as soon as possible. If you still need my PC full specs, I'll be glad to post it here. But the main things I would Like to point is the already said above.
And sorry for may bad english. Not my native language. But I tried my best.
Good Luck, guys.

This will be the last of the NFS series I will buy, £34 and preodered it so I could play on the day of release.
We've paid to be beta testers, it's the final straw.
EA you finally took the michael once too often, I've bought ALL the NFS series up to now. Well starting with NHS III hot pursuit.
Now I should be honing my skills not struggling to see on a small windowed screen.
