As previously mentioned, this is occurring with a specific TV on DVI and HDMI connection with specific cards. However, because of the particular hardware set-up under which this occurs, we’re unfortunately unable to resolve this issue.
Sorry for this inconvenience. If ever you have any questions, please let me know and post a comment in this thread.
You are also a specific connection, what should we use VGA? Also for EA that is a hard answer and not acceptable!

Wait... did I read this right?
No possible fix?
Bahahahahahah! It is software, there is always a possible fix. At least be honest with us.
'The fix is going to cost us more than the ammount of money we will have to refund, and seeing as we already have a customer complaint department bigger than our troubleshooting team we aren't going to fix the problem'
WHY is it unable to be fixed? As most of the people in this thread did the troubleshooting for your company and seem quite tech savey, maybe offer an explination rather than a '**bleep** you' while you flip us off, turn around and walk away. And guess what? I don't want a refund. I love the game, its awesome fun. But it is a deminished experience being forced to play in windowed mode where my graphics cards are limited to output because of the way that operation works.
Like I said in my last post, I will always play the new need for speed games. But after this answer I am not buying the next one. At least not immediatly. I will play it (using one a friend has bought, or other means..) and if I find no issues, then I will buy it. We know we buy games to support the developers of games we like, but you are not earning that.
If you are really just washing your hands of this issue then we are paying you to piss on us from above. Sorry but I already pay the government for this service in the form of taxes.
Now, in short, get your act together, or I may have to become a Forza fan. *shudder
To those with this issue. I am lucky enough to have 5 different monitors with me as we speak. My high definition monitor that cost me $600 27" is the one having the problem. but my old 24" monitor on the same system seems to work fine. If you don't have other monitors to try, then just cross your fingers the graphics card companies create a driver set that can attribute for terrible programming and optimisation. It wouldn't be the first time they have bailed out an EA Title.

I have found a workaround download http://www.tridef.com/download/TriDef-3D-latest.html Tridef install it, add nfs to the gamelist, goto settings, select manufactor standard display types, select model anaglyph, start the game in fullscreen and it is working, disable the 3d mode by pressing the hotkey by default ALT + SHIFT + -

ye lol man, I did it to play in 3D and then I noticed it worked full screen like this cause you need full screen for 3D to work. and then I forgot you can disable it :B
haha this workaround is the best for now.
For anyone who has problem just do like he said, I am using Top and Buttom anyway for my Philips 7007.

Well my system was working fine, running along in fullscreen without incident. Today however is a different story. I am running on AMD trinity A10-WIN7 with the APU graphics- As long as I disable explorer.exe it will run quite smooth. Now back tot he issue. I did not have the issue at all for the last week, then today it started. Thus far it will not go fullscreen without blacking everything out. I use alt+enter to switch between the two fullscreen or windowed mode. This is how I finally got BF3 to go fullscreen as well as NFS:MostWanted and BF4. Occaisionally during the beta for BF4 and BF3 this exact same issue would occur on both games. I think it is a common issue that is directx related. Meaning it is in the actual DirectXAPI and has been there then since DX10 when I first started to notice games having the same issue. Usually a quick alt+enter will fix it, if not then disable any remote connection software you have, i.e. teamviewer or others they cause issue with Directx as they want to share the screen and load into every app you load. I have fixxed a few issues with this one. I am going to try it right now, as I usually disable it all the time. Yep it fixed the issue. SO here are the steps to get it working right...
1. Disable teamviewer using task manager or do not load it at all and restart your computer.
2. If you had teamviewer loaded kill the DWM from task manager. it will restart automatically flushing the video cache for the windows management system.
3. After you have completed the steps above restart NFS: Rivals and if it does not come up in fullscreen hit ALT+Enter. and it should scale right up to fullscreen mode.
By the way I am 8 weeks from a Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering and I am looking for a Job....
