I used VGA cable and TriDef 6.0 , it made the game run but i cannot disable 3D mode and the game is all blue/red and shivers from time to time, and when i try to start the tutorial race which asks me to press PgDown , nothing happens. it feels like all the controls r disabled.
at first I could not turn too 3d, but then I saw that pressed on the wrong button 🙂))

I think i fixed my game , first of all thnx to everyone who suggested the use of TriDef 3D and other various methods (which didnt work out for me).
Here's how i fixed my game , i hope it will work for u guys aswell.
First i downloaded TriDef 3D and installed it , added the game to TriDef and configured settings ,1.Select manufactor standard display types
2.Select mode anaglyph Red/Cyan (Thnx to kucitus and viperct1 for helping me out here)
Then after the settings are done , i launched the game and it worked fine but i had troubles turning off 3D mode and had trouble Pressing PgUp to start the tutorial race, once i was stuck at the tutorial race start point , i closed the game through Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
I uninstalled TriDef 3D from control panel , Reinstalled Origin in the same directory and restarted my pc.
and then started the game just fine in full screen without any crashes / sound problems / lag issues.
Hope this works for any of you guys aswell. If this does work for anyone , let me know so i can share this on other websites to help others resolve their issues for black screen.

Tried to run version 6.0 trial, but does not permit. writes that the trial mode is not available.
I think that the game you really repaired, but not reset origin, and even added that information on its display when added to the list of game "tridef ignition".
I want to do the same thing, but in version 5.9 is available for free =) are unable to add NFS Rivals)- 12 years ago
I activated the 14 days trial version just fine without any problems, i installed the latest version for windows 7 x64

As reluctant as I was to spend $40 extra to get Tri-Def 3D, for a game EA clearly no longer really cares much for on the PC, to simply fix a fullscreen issue I've never encountered on any other game, it's an excellent program on it's own if you have a 3D TV or monitor. As others have stated, disabling the 3D when loading the game helps if you only want 2D. The drawback is, $40 for Tri-Def is really still not an ideal, or convenient workaround for an issue EA should have addressed, and the Tri-Def game loader shows small, non-TV friendly icons and text, even on a 50" screen.
The only positive things about the PC release, aside from the actual game being pretty good, though not as good as the last Most Wanted, or Hot Pursuit, are basic:
1. Adding "GameTime.MaxSimFps 60" and "-GameTime.ForceSimRate 60.0" in the shortcut or command line box, if your system can handle it, will give you 60fps without issues. (Again an EA workaround, but at least it's a free one which could be easily added in the in-game menu)
2. The game has poor anti-aliasing even on it's highest possible settings, and this can be fixed without 3rd party apps. To fix this, create a new text document in the main NFS Rivals install folder, and type in, without quotation marks, "Render.ResolutionScale 1.7" You can make it 1.5 - 2.0, with 2 providing the best results. Save it and close the text file. Then Name the text file, "user" and change the file extension from ".txt" to ".cfg" by checking Window's folder options, then show extensions for known file types. At the "2.0," there's no aliasing lines at all, however there's a performance hit if your system is not up to it.
3. While the game site Polygon had an article stating that the PS4 version looked the best out of all of the next gen versions, with little proof at all, the far more trustworthy EuroGamer face off shows otherwise. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-need-for-speed-rivals-next-gen-face-off
Here are actual quotes, "the PC version strikes out with clear advantages over the next-gen releases. A generous smattering of world details is in effect here, adding more grass, rocks, and crates to the environment - mainly picked out during pre-race build-ups. Draw distances on PC are also much farther than Xbox One and PS4." They then mention the 30 fps console cap and the PC fix stating, "the tweak minimizes a problem on PC that's common to console platforms: the frame-pacing issue. Even on the latest patch version 1.01, this persists throughout the 30fps play on PS4 and Xbox One."
The irony is, 2 of the 3 things here are user community fixes, and one is simply a misconception that mid-range consoles were outperforming PC's even with a frame-rate cap on all 3 next gen versions. Despite the PC version being the best visually, and even more so with the 2 additional user fixes, EA still has abandoned a PC fullscreen fix which can't be that hard to address, as they originaly stated the game's physics were tied to the frame-rate and needed for All-Drive at 30 frames per second, and it ended up being a simple user command line fix. Then stating that the fullscreen issue is unable to be fixed, and Tri-Def loads it fine in fullscreen on an HDTV, as does a direct VGA cable. These glaring problems make this triple A title feel like more work than recreational fun, and like EA just doesn't care.
As for those that say don't complain, why not? This is a product people paid hard earned money for, which shipped with settings designed to give parity to next gen consoles, lacking settings PC gamers have had since the original Half-Life 1, requiring user added fixes for things a menu option could solve. Then negating that contrary to popular belief, graphics cards even in the $50-$60 range have had TV compatible HDMI, and PC gamers have wireless X-Box pads and keyboards so they can play on big screen TV's. When given the choice between VGA and HDMI, which carries sound and superior picture, VGA on a next gen title to get fullscreen on a TV is not a fix. As someone else stated, nobody would go and buy a brand new car, find out it's broken or requires a few workarounds for basic in class functionality, and not ask why it's broken, unless they really like being taken advantage of. If everyone simply stayed quiet and just accepted it, companies would continue to do this to consumers with no form of accountability. On the other hand, gamers who get overly angry to the point of cussing out hard working employees of a company, makes gamers look like awful people. Being rational and sane is important when forming reasonable complaints, because sane people usually avoid the loudest, most rude person in the room. Gamers should act better than that if they want to be respected, or paid any attention to.
