wow .. cannot believe this.. bought the game .. couldnt wait to get home from work.. after a lengthy install.. sat back ready to play and my steering wheel didnt work.. I thought my wheel was broken so loaded up most wanted .. it worked fine.. went back to Rivals .. nothing .. after 20 mins of messing around i googled to find that steering wheels do not work with rivals... wtf........ went onto amazon.. put in a refund .. game is going back tomorrow...
I dont mean to sound like a whinning child.. (45 years old) but this is totally unacceptable .. a racing game I dont care if they want to call it an arcade game.. chirst outrun hand a steering wheel..... a racing game that doesnt support steering wheels.. sorry EA but you really screwed up on this one.. PC owner .. not happy..thanks
If EA, Ghost, Criterion, whoever...........fixes the problem, I'll be happy to purchase the game again. You gave me the refund within 10 minutes, that was much appreciated. I still think it's pretty crappy to release a driving game in 2013 with no wheel support. Very poor decision, but that's what happens when profit is the only goal.

This is really very sad!!! I wish I had seen this thread before, **bleep**. I was trying to play Rivals with the G27 and wondering why is the wheel not recognized. And now I can see why. Really, so cheap outsourced programmers that cannot develop a game with a wheel support? Or is management sleeping in a drugs cloud? I hope the support is added asap. Racing game without wheel support is like running a marathon with high heels (maybe some managers by EA have experience with it)
This is total crap! I have been following rivals ever since June/July when it was announced (not sure which) and I pre ordered the game. I put it in and I found my G27 was not compatible. this made me SOOOO mad! If you dont fix this EA, and if you dont include weel support I will never buy from you again. I mean Most Waned had wheel support, so why doesnt this? Overall just really upset by this EA!
NFS Rivals was my most anticipated launch game for PS4, but I cancelled my pre-order when I heard that it doesn't support my Logitech G25, or any wheels. Lack of wheel support in a racing game is incomprehensible.
Like many others, I won't be buying the game until it supports the G25. Supporting upcoming PS4-only wheels is not going to be enough, as I'm not going to spend hundreds on a new wheel when my G25 works just fine.
EA this is totally unacceptable. How can you have a driving game with out steering wheel support. I have purchased many NFS games in the past but this will be the last one if you do not correct this. I will be returning this game for a refund and will purchase my racing games from companies like Code Masters that do a better job of supporting PC racings games.
Thanks for this forum. I was ready to buy this game until it was pointed out that there is no G27 support.
I was also looking forward to Grid 2 until I learned there is no cockpit view. While the wheel is more important I can't understand why anyone would want a racing game without the proper perspective. Is this just me.
Like a lot of the retail merchandising it appears everything is aimed at the lowest common denominator.

Over all the need for speed launches....this takes the cake.
Bought on day of release, as yet to function.
As a matter of fact, just having the g27 connected at all makes the menu wig out just like all the battlefield games.
I hope you are right and the patch is coming.
Til then, I will play other games.
