I'm having the same exact issue, just bought it last night, can't play it.
No options to remap the controller, ... seriously ?? 😕mileyfrustrated: - Anonymous12 years ago
I have the same problem also. I read that the only controller that they support is the Xbox360 one. They are not planning to support the other one like the Logitech one that I have. So sad that EA have done that.

Hello I have an Logitech F310 Gamepad just switch on the back the little switch from R to X (x box controller) cancel the message which says that the software is not compatible and close the software from logitech, the Gamepad is recognized as x box controller from the windows system. Then start up the game and enjoy, mine works great .

I have an older Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2. I have never had a case to replace it until now. Spoke with Tech support. Game was ported from XBox 360 and that is the controller it is written for. My suggestion (you can only do this if you purchase from EA / Origin)...get a refund or HOPE that they release a patch that will allow use of other gamepads. Playing with keyboard is a joke!!!
Hi guys,
As said, I think the 360 is the only official supported controller for the game. However, you can use any other gamepad that share the same button layout as the 360 controller by using the free software called DS3 Tool. http://ds3-tool.en.softonic.com/
Most people (like me) have used this to get their PS3 controller working for the PC. If you have built in Bluetooth or get a simple dongle, you can even use the controller wireless! Here's a tutorial on how to get your controller working, it should apply for any other controller too!
