@xboxbabe70 I am not interested in what makes sense in matter of working hardware - but in what works. I did not want of plays outside Live, because I wanted the most restrictive (and "thus" secure) system.
The fact that most people have set to adult account does not mean that this is these people who are having the problem of this thread, but the ones who have not understood. Moreover, as far as I remember, the adult account may have not the plays active outside Live - but I concede not-to-be sure of this last specific point.

@ARocksanneSwiss Had you read ALL the posts/comments for this thread you would have understood why me and @BossDad4Life442 know it's the servers, but let me try and explain this an easier way for you:
1) EA owns NFS Rivals, and the EA servers that make NFS Rivals work online, NOT Microsoft or Xbox live!
2) Microsoft owns XBOX LIVE! Xbox live is a subscription that allows you to play online with other people, THAT"S IT!
3) The game (NFS RIvals works without issues OFFLINE! That means it does not require Xbox live or an internet connection to work, (UNLESS you want to play multiplayer online against other players)
4) PROOF that it's EA Servers: the issue is across ALL PLATFORMS!!!
Which means its impossible that the issue is caused by Xbox live, Xbox settings, or anyone's internet connection, end of discussion!

exactly because we would have this same issue with other games, but since EA is too cheap to fix the actual good games, instead they say go buy bf5 u scrub, they arent gonna fix a 2013 game.

@xboxbabe70 IS correct bout the details there. But here the thing bout the servers the 360 version/PS3 works fine for online it just for the upgraded versions that having the server problems. Now if you do want to play online with people heres what I reconnd you do first:
1.Turn off your console wifi connection, for xbox one you go to settngs then head to network n hit network setting n hit go offline
2. Load up the game do tutorial etc, and go to the garage menu doesnt matter which side you are on.
3. From garage menu you will be brought to by default tab saying "garage" which is the second tab from going from left to right. Go one tab to the right "All drive" and hit on All drive setting.
4. once there make sure when you have the console offline from the wifi make sure when you go in all drive settings that your Matchmaking setting is at single player.
5. After it set to single player you can hit it to start single player less it put you on it automatically, you can go back online to your wifi by repeating step 1.
6. After that done set your matchmaking setting to private game and it will work so you can play by yourself and could invite friends in it.
Hope these steps help cause me n @xboxbabe70 play together a few times on the xbox one rivals. Also note this is not like a 100% fix but a temp fix with you probably crash a few times but had lots of fun doing back n forth of cop and robbers style lol- 6 years ago
