Need for speed sign into live & EA servers

I am signed in to live and created an account on EA bit still says on “ Need for speed “ hot Pursuit

“ you must be signed in to Xbox live and the EA servers in order to access the online features of this title”

what else am I supposed to do here.. doesnt make any sense..
