NFS - Logitech G25

So,

I purchased NFS 2015 (Deluxe) last night (at midnight 15/Mar) through Origin for my PC.  I had it download while at work today, and now that it is installed, I wanted to try it out.

Unlike Most Wanted which I had to pause the game to setup my steering wheel, I was allowed to go right into the settings.  However, the game selection for supported steering wheels was the Logitech G920, G29, and G27.  So in sudden worry that my wheel was not supported i quit the game and checked on line.  Everywhere I look, the game claims to support the Logitech G25.  So far I'm not convinced.   I tried actually getting into the prologue to see if the game needed to actually hook up the engine, but that didn't help.  Took me minutes just to figure out Backspace brought me back to a menu, since the game completely does not detect my controller.

Do I need to update a patch or something to include my steering wheel as part of the game.  If not, i will have to return this game as defective, which sucks cause I rather enjoy the NFS series.

I have all the latest drivers, and yadda, yadda, yadda, and do not have problems with any other game that claims to support the G25, so ...

Help me out?

Thanks

@JaedenRuiner Thanks for the post. As you say, the G25 is on the supported device list.

Perhaps the gamepad you mention is somehow interfering with the detection of the wheel.

Try removing/disabling the game pad then launch the game and see if the issue persists.

    Thanks.

If you mean the F710, only the driver is installed.

It is not currently connected to the Computer.

If you mean the G13, I will try, that that is more of keyboard than a joystick.  Not to mention that the Driver software for the G13 is completely different than the suite provided by logitech to handle the G25, so it seems odd they would conflict.  Additionally, that's the same driver for my G502, so if the driver is conflicting on the basis of the G13 I wouldhave to disable the entire driver, which would limit functionality of my mouse just to play one game.

Also, is there an efficient method to determine if the game is detecting my wheel?

Currently, I go to settings, and it defaults to game pad.  i use pgup/pgdn to scroll to "Wheel", and then left/right so select a wheel but G25 is NOT on that list.

I am curious about this supposed "Support" for the G25.

If it will only show the G25 if it "Detects" my wheel, then why is it showing Thrustmasters, and G29 or G27 when it obviously cannot be detecting those?

The game pad image it shows for game play is an XBox controller, so I am curious if the "Deluxe" version i downloaded through Origin isn't the fully vetted PC version but an initial "Port" of the Xbox version.  I mean the G25 isn't even an OPTION to select.  So it seems that detection isn't the only flaw.

    Thanks

ps - unplugging the G13 had no effect.  as previously mentioned the  F710 is not currently plugged in at all.

Could it be 64/32bit on the driver

Hey, I meant the G710, sorry for not being clearer.

As for it being detected, I don't think there's a more elegant way than disabling things one at a time then checking again.

For the pads, the Xbox One is the only officially supported pad, so all gamepad UI elements refer to Xbox One.

As for the G25 being absent, I'm not sure, it sounds like a bug/oversight. Once the wheel is detected you should be able to configure it though the Assign Controls menu instead.

so the question then remains: how do i get the game to detect it?

    Well,

Had to completely uninstall game and reinstall.

    It detects the wheel but:

    A) there is no assigning a button to "Select" or "Answer Phone" or "Dismiss".  So every screen popup that blocks your ;view while driving, I have to reach to the keyboard to hit ESC, or PageUp to answer the phone, or Page Down to "Enter Mission" etc.  Really frustrating.  (Thankfully my G13 makes this a bit easier to manage).

    B) Manual transmission support is a JOKE.  I have a six speed shifter with the G25 for a reason.  Drifting with the ability to directly drop gear from 5th to 3rd is so much simpler, but with linear shifting it is a royal pain.  Not much a drifter though, so i just have to do that for missions.  I'm more a grip driver.

All in all I like the sandbox realm, but with these configuration issues, not sure it was worth it to by the Deluxe version.

    So it goes.

I pine for the era where supporting full racing consoles was a priority.

Maybe'll i'll have to upgrade to PS4 and get GT6.  *shrug*

    Hi,

The G25 was never on the officially supported list, and also hasn't been added there at a later time.

We do have some tips on how to try and get unsupported wheels working on a system. Please refer to the controller guide in my previous post.
