Please manually install the following files:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Need for Speed\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist\vcredist_x64.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Need for Speed\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist\vcredist_x86.exe

Once that is done, perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Do please let us know if these steps help you, thanks.

I just followed your instructions and the problem persists.

It´s very frustrating to have to wait for you to release the console versions first and to find that when it´s available to PC it has a bunch of holes.

I never hade issues with other games... I´m really upset with this.

I´ve even tried to create a profile for the game in the AMD Radeon Settings and the game still fails to start.

Need to fix this fast or I´ll need a refund because I´m not paying for a game that won´t work.

  • well not really an answer but a question.  I cannot get NFS to work. It loads supposedly connects to EA servers but I cannot find any menu to start the intro. Clicking on Play goes into Alldrive and then an Xbox controller appears on the screen loads half way and crashes not only the game but the computer requiring a physical power down which doesn't do much good. I tried Settings accepting Keyboard but that didn't help. EA Support suggested flushing the cache which I did but still the problem is there.
