NFS 2016 Direct X Function Error

Hi 

I have recently started playing Need for Speed 2016 again after a year brake or so and it is pretty much impossible to get anything done in this game because I am constantly getting the same error as shown on the photo enclosed. 

It always freezes the game while entering a race, after the race when statistics show up or while looking around the map for race locations. Sometimes (very rarely) I am able to play for and hour or two no problem but most of the time it crashes the game 3 or 4 times before I manage to complete a single race. Today for example I launched it around 00:30 and turned it off at 2:00 and within this time it managed to crash 9 times. 

When I purchased it back in 2017 I had no problems at all with it and right now it just became unplayable. I should mention I am playing on exactly the same PC as I did back in the day when I purchased it. The only difference is graphics card, previously I had AMD Radeon HD 7990 and currently I have Nvidia GTX 1080. I have searched pretty much everywhere but couldn't find a solution and those which I did manage to find didn't work at all. 

I have tried compatibility mods, I have tried reinstalling directx, I have tried reinstalling graphics card drivers with clean installation, I have tried changing graphics settings within the game but absolutely nothing helps.

16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz

Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 8GB

WIndows 10 Pro 64 Bit

Any ideas EA? or are you just going to ignore this because I have seen other people with similar error and no solution.
