@marcelo19941 Hey, I'm not too familiar with this pad, but as I understand it isn't automatically detected as an Xbox pad. Only Xbox controllers are supported by the game, but hopefully this can get running anyway. 

I think a situation like yours is due to the controller being detected as a directinput device, not an xinput device. Perhaps if you go to the Control Panel > Device manager you may be able to get it detected as an Xbox pad. Alternatively 3rd party pad configuration options may be the way to go. 

It happens with the Steam Controller, a X360 controller and even the keyboard ( Win10 - drivers installed for all of them - all other games work with both gamepads and the keyboard ) ... The game is unplayable right now. Car is very slow since it is breaking at the same time.

No way to find how to pick automatic or manual gear as well ( I'd love to know where the option is ).

I haven't been able to play the game but had to endure those unskippable videos so much after each restart I can't stand them anymore.

I am using a Generic USB Gamepad, which I got to work as an XBOX 360 gamepad through X360CE, but the controls have issues, like, for instance, the B button doesn't work, and, wherever I bind the throttle, it gets hit the same time as the brakes, which causes my car to do burnouts with just pressing 1 button.

Regarding the acceleration/breaking issue, I managed to get it to work by pushing the throttle/breaking dead zone to 50% ( first time in any game I had to do this since both gamepads are calibrated ). Anyway ,game is playable now at least. I guess if you've got some gamepad plugged in it also breaks the controls if you're using the keyboard.

It gave me the opportunity to tour the amazing environment/world... and almost crash into one of the guys racing online... probably killed his chances to win... whoever you are, sorry mate 🙂

Still nothing...
I guess I'll have to resort to something like Joytokey or sth...
Joke's on me for expecting a 2016 game to work as it's intended at launch, it seems.....

The game seems to detect my gamepad through x360ce, but I tried to bind some keys to the steering wheel tab without x360ce , and it saw my gamepad. My guess is that the game detects the gamepad as a steering wheel and it conflicts with the gamepad keys. I'll see if I can do anything about it.

I am using a ps4 controller to play with InputMapper.

Try to set your wheel controls to custom, and then try to change any command with your controller, if some of them work just use it on every wheel command on the list to unbind the controls.

Then just try to play the game with no wheel commands at all.

wtf man, i cant even control the car, all i get is wheel spins and slow speeds, cannot change to automatic transmission, this is a joke for a release thats late and console version came out last year, i cant play S H I T coz i cant control the car!!  who knows a fix ?????????

I got a reply to a thread of similar nature of mine. They said that the game only OFFICIALLY supports Xbox ONE gamepads, not 360. This is a bummer, because all those people that had 360 gamepads can't get the game to work right....
