NFS don't connect to ea servers (error code 40050000)

Hello,

I have just bought the game. I installed it, launch it and get 40050000 error (can't connect to ea server).

My PC run Windows 10 64 bits.

My PC met the minimum requirements, my Internet connection is fine, I can post this message and others game work.

I have install the game once with the CD, and once by downloading it with origin, the game never work.

I have tried many things I found in others posts :

  • reinstalling the game
  • clear DNS cache
  • try a clean boot
  • launch origin and NFS as administrator
  • open all ports needed by game, I've check my Windows Firewall, and all the connection from Origin and NFS are allowed
  • there is no proxy in my network which can block the game
  • of course I've also restart my PC many times

Nothing of all these work.

So if anyone have an idea for fixing this issue I will take it.

Sorry for the mistakes.

Thank you for your answer.

I've finally got it to work by disabling the firewall of my internet box (router).

After that everything work great and I can now play the game. 🙂

Since the hacking of my Origin account, i have absolutely the same problem.

I've contacted EA support but they had no clear answer, except trying (again to reinstall the game), i also switched off the firewall, but until yesterday and the hacking of my Origin account, everything was working perfectly....

EA has reactivated my account, but i feel that the acces to NFS server is somehow locked....

    Hello.

I'm stuck in the same boat.

Have also tried most so called "solutions":

    • Reinstalled the game
    • UPnP and port settings
    • Checked (and even disabled) the firewall
    • Reset both Router and Modem
    • Proxy settings
    • Run as Admin
    • etc etc...

What I find strange in my case is that the 40050000 error has not been consistent.

First time I started the game after downloading I got the 40050000 error, closed and restarted the game, no error and connected immediately to the ea server.

But the joy was shortlived, I instead got a controller bug where the car would only turn left and the handbrake was stuck on.

Closed the game once again to google solutions for the controller problem, restarted the game some 25-30 min later and now I once again got a 40050000 error.

Restarted the game and no 40050000 error, but still could not get the controller to work. Closed the game to unplug my controller and try to play with just the keyboard.

Since then I have been stuck with the 40050000 error...

Turning off a firewall is accepted as a solution? Wow!

Anyway I have tried everything to try and get he game to connect, is it really 2016 and I am having to muck about with ports and firewalls to get a AAA title working on a perfectly normal setup?

I really don't know where to go with it.

    @heymoa

Well, the purpose of a firewall is to block network traffic. Since Need for Speed requires a persistent internet connection it relies heavily on your network settings, which includes a firewall.

The player himself also specifically stated that changing these settings is how he managed to get back into the game. It is definitely worth taking a look at..

  • This is thanks to Denuvo.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denuvo

EA finds a half assed solution by contracting a online only anti piracy DRM company as Denuvo , yet when proper customer who buy the game and EA can't access the game they offer this kind of solution .  Either EA and their pals at Denuvo patches it and gives as proper online game or give a offline method.

This method didn't work for me. Last time I'm buying form ea if I can't fix this because for me this isn't working.

    http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Error-40050000-on-PC-Need-for-Speed-2015-or-extreme-lag/m-p/5331308#M6551

If they cant bother implementing a viable solution properly by offering  patches or fix from beginning and learn from their mistakes  to their customers than why would I spend money any future  game releases ?

And I'm not the only one, this problem is really common not only on pc but even in consoles and ea does nothing to patch it beside offering half assed solution which don't even work all time like mine.

Half assed  manual solution like this make ea look like sweat shop company, rather than a proper  AAA multi billionare gaming company also  it only makes in the eye  future investors and current stock holder look like a joke that can't properly respond to market demands and customers needs.  The EA thinks that mobile revenue will be there forever?

Or do they think they will create revenue with implementing Denuvo in every game yet not caring to make sure that the game works and or patch it? Customers move to a new company that meet market demand if EA can' respond, happen to a lot of technology names houses that use to be  the mains ones but are not anymore due to their over confidence and ignoring the market demands.

Steam is here many game houses  are building slow ,  while console xbox Microsoft  and sony  PS revenue is slowing just few signs, if ea doesn't want  to lose the hand on its monopoly they have to respond properly to their customers  concern and market demands and trends . Many gamers are moving to PC due to graphics and flexibility of upgrades, the mobile sooner or latter will slow, the console industry is already slowing and steam has entered in competition.

  • Can u please help me on how to disable the firewall for the router.. im using windows 10

For me I have done nothing on my PC. Everything was well configured. In order to get the game to work I have configure thé router which allow me to access the Internet. The configuration is the same as the one for the computer. The same ports have to open.
