Community AdminIf people are experiencing freezes, crashes, long loading times and black screens, whycwould wheel support and controller remapping be a priority right now? I see some people saying this and it makes no sense to me. For me, I dont understand the who gripe about there being no wheel support. It's an arcade game and its pretty useless in an arcade game. Wheels are made for sim games.
Does it suck they downgraded the game, yes it does but, they said everything will be back in a future update. Not matter what, you will have people complain, that's just the way it is.
I’ve barely been experiencing any issues with long loading screens, wouldnt have minded just dealing with the 3-4 seconds of blackness for an immersive street racing intro.
As for people saying about wheel control and remaping, for console the controls have been fine for me.
I’d just much rather let the devs breathe and work on more important core features in the game like adding global leaderboards for every event and having a proper global crew leaderboard so we can have some replay ability and be competitive with our times/scores.
@Tormanbin Luckily for me I’ve just stuck with auto the whole time but thats definitely an issue that requires fixing but people complaining they dont have full control over remapping their entire controls or have steering support yet need to chill.
The one issue I’ve had with buttons overlapping are also with the bumpers which I believe are the same trouble buttons.
Attempting to pick up collectibles with right bumper isnt possible if youve accepted a race since its the same as the withdraw button which is a pain.

Sorry, while I'm using automatic (because I have no other choice), the fact that this is a racing game and isn't even designed to be playable with manually selected gears is a BIG deal. It's absolutely fundamental to the genre, arcade or otherwise. I am losing races and drift events (playing on hard) because I can't shift my own gears.
I don't care if every single button is made to be remappable, but they AT LEAST need to give us more than one control scheme option. In Payback, for instance, you were allowed to choose from a couple of options - personally I prefer shifting using the Y and B buttons (on an Xbox controller). Trying to shift gears with the shoulder buttons is absolutely the worst possible choice they could've made, let alone the fact that other actions override them.
