Ok, I figured it out!
1: go to Documents > Need for Speed: Heat > Saves > savegame > and there should be a file with no file type labelled “1”
2: Unfortunately, if you didn’t copy that file the first time around to a different location (I regret to inform you, but you’re going to have to delete that file no matter what). If you don’t have another copy of 1 somewhere else, then you’re going to have to restart Heat from the beginning (which honestly isn’t that bad), but make sure to continuously send updated copies of 1 to another location to back it up. That way, you can replace your new save with an old one if something goes wrong.
