I've tried a few things and have stopped crashing randomly in-between games.
- Increased game priority
- Verified game files
- Disabled full-screen optimizations
- Nvidia Settings from here - https://errorfixer.co/need-for-speed-heat-lag-fix-stuttering-fps-drops-crashing-nfs-2019/
Hopefully that fixes the problems for you too.
I gave that a try but it doesn't look to be helpful to me but maybe other people will have better luck with the link you provided.
