I just downloaded a 2.6GIG patch on XBox One.
Problem still there, first connect to the EA server I get the 40080000 error.
Then playing online I get the item sync message and selecting yes to upload results in the 40080000 error.
This is ridiculous, good money spent on a product I have not been able to use properly since launch and now it's on sale already.
Congratulations EA, you had the potential to fix this, and make this game great, and its turned into HOT GARBAGE. Updated Xbox one and Patch has NOT fixed Inventory synchronisation issue. Peace out.
I also deleted my save from the Xbox and Cloud since I had not made much progress.
After launching the game again, I get prompted to agree to the terms and conditions again, then select difficulty and then same error when it tries to connect to the EA servers.
Select Play Online again and the same error appears.
The save game seems irrelevant to the problem.

This is ridiculous and beyond disappointing. Almost 2 weeks of waiting for a patch to fix this and it hasn't been fixed in the released patch.

this problem is definitely linked to 2 PSN accounts linked to an EA account because I just tried playing online on a seperate account (on this account only one psn is linked to one the ea account) using the same digital copy and I got online no problem.
Hence, I got on the ea chat support to unlink one account from my main EA account and they told me that of I unlink an account from their EA account, progress in other EA titles like FIFA, Battlefield etc will be affected. The EA support guy told me that I can lose my FUT progression as well if I unlink the other account from their EA account
so basically if I unlink one PSN account, progression on another PSN account (linked to the same EA account) will be affected
I swear EA never fails to disappoint.

This can't be 100% correct. I have two PSN accounts. Each account has a different EA account linked to it. Neither EA account has more than one PSN account linked to it. The PSN account that I play Battlefield on has PS+, the one that I play NFS on does not have PS+.
If multiple linked accounts is the issue then this is so silly.
They allow multiple linked accounts on their system yet they can't get games to work with this in mind.
I can confirm I have 2 linked accounts, one for me and one for my brother so I'm not removing either of them.
EA should fix this or refund their broken product.
another update from EA chat support, according to the representative the dev is still investigating this particular issue and a fix will be available in afew days, I dont know whether to believe this or not but atleast they are not saying we fixed the issue now its a problem at your end.

Don't even bother contacting support. They give the run around and just say that it's getting worked on.
I just requested a refund. Screw this game till they get all our stuff back!

/ I got on a live chat with one of the ea guys... he helped me allot and deleted the 2nd linked ps acc. From my ea acc. He said after all these steps it should work... this was a few days after the release. It DIDN'T Work , still i saw this update i was very excited but still no fix ... i have a little trick to get online but sometimes it takes a while but it works 90% of the time but still ea fix it . I have a fix for ps4, its bull***t and a lot of you will not like it, but it worked for me. For the record i am gamesharing so i have a friend who has downloaded a copy of my game from my account, and i have had ea access so i played the game 3 days before launch.
I have had this problem for over 2 weeks, tried ea support but i might as well of talked to a brick wall. so what i did was copy my data to the ps cloud (or usb) just incase ea fixed this. However due to them not caring/unable to i decided to play around with what i can do. I deleted my game save to try play the game again, i got the same error. I cleared my caches on the ps4, with mixed results. It would load online sometimes on a new save but it wasnt consistent, then to finally fix the issue i restored the licenses and the game with a fresh save and it started working fine. Yes i started again but i caught up with my 70h save and surpassed it as i knew this wouldn't get fixed.
Its not much of a fix, however if ea have stopped the cause of the corrupting game save now it will work. In future ea, for consoles please for the love of god f*** off with your cloud saving b****t. It doesn't work and its pointless, there are no mods/traines etc on consoles and it just dosent work so theres no point to having it.
