NFS Heat Level 3+
Can we please talk about how ridiculous the cops become overpowered after heat level 2? EA has made this awesome atmospheric night time mode where the cops are truly out to get you, but they're so ov...
@immortalcons That's the point. If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. I don't have any problems with the cops because with the elite repair kit you can take them long enough. Maybe wait to get to heat lvl 3+ when your rep is on the same lvl.

Erm, they catch up to me when i am going a solid 140mph and they catch up, like i am standing still and that is fine??? sorry, but no....same speed, sure, aggressive sure, but not tough like a tank AND going above 240mph..
they are cop cars, not Armour Divisions.
They could make it based on heat levels and car ratings.
1: Scales to the car they are chasing
2: Does not exceed the max speed of the car they are chasing by 150%
3: They can be demolished by ramming into the side of their car and hitting solid walls and that demolishes them which is realistic
4: If you cause them to crash, but not get demolished and they get 1000yds behind us, they should NOT be able to catch up within 2 seconds while our speed has remained constant.
So, if they do this right, it will go like this:
Heat 0: Their stats are 50% of our current car's stats
Heat 1: Their stats are 75% of our current car's stats
Heat 2: Their stats are 100% of our current car's stats
Heat 3: Their stats are 125% of our current car's stats
You get the idea.
The health of the cop cars should be based on the cars themselves, a basic cop car should not last the same time as a car built to take a harsh beating...it makes no sense for them t be as equally as tough.
It’s a police force dedicated to stopping street racers. They are going to have top of the line cars. Heat 3 is nothing 4 is a bit tough and 5 is crazy. But all in all it’s a blast escaping them. The only thing i don’t like is the challenges. I keep getting the one for 2 roadblocks and can never get them to throw a roadblock and i keep doing the same loop all the way through heat 5 and even then just a ton of rhinos and helicopters. All in all the cops are fine. Don’t fix
I just want to say heat 3 is op as fk. And all you people who keep saying well I don’t have any problems because I have blah blah blah. Maybe you haven’t realized not everyone has all this crap yet. I know my personal experience is I race and race and race and the min I get to level 3 I get wrecked by a cop. No matter how fast my car is. The rubber banding into you at an outrageous amount of speed is bs. Ramming into them and losing lots of health for a simple ram is bs. This needs to be fixed it’s about as annoying as the random cars spawning in front of you during a race. I mean how difficult is it to adjust the AI to not do this *. It’s just like all the other bs nfs games that have come out rubber banding AI instead of just making a decent racing game. We don’t play an arcade racer for the challenge we play it for the fun of racing a car and customizing it. If you try hard at this game their is something wrong with you. This game is for a casual player and really shouldn’t be frustrating for any reason. Oh and your sound track sucks.
@JamieK81I'm a big fan of this idea.
Heat 0: Their stats are 50% of our current car's stats
Heat 1: Their stats are 75% of our current car's stats
Heat 2: Their stats are 100% of our current car's stats

So you say it's completely normal that i'm going 290km/h and a police comes there at, at least, 330-350km/h with a BASIC CAR with enough force to take me a whole chunk of life? And that's it without me crashing into anywhere, if i happen to hit a tree or a wall then i'm *. That's not realistic at all. If i get a car that can approach 360km/h will those crown victoria reach 400km/h?

Actually they are engine swapped Crown Vics whose engine is Chiron's.
apart from that I like the way the police acts in game when you consider storyline how corrupt & dirty they are, you shouldn't expect anything less than they play dirty too. What's killing the fun part for me is rubberbanding cops, as I said before Crown Vics shouldn't ever have rocket engine where it is completely normal for Corvette interceptors.
This issue is seriously killing my enjoyment of the game. It's impossible to evade the cops now. I just got it and already I'm thinking of shelving it. The police just seem so broken.
I hope they release a patch for it soon. Does anyone have a clue when the next patch will be released?

This would be sound advice if High Heat races unlocked after Rep Level 40. But they don't. Rep level 15 or so and you gain access to these races, but it is unbelievably difficult to escape or destroy the cops at that Rep level. You simply don't have access to enough parts or cars to outlast or outmaneuver them.
My biggest issue with chases is not that the cops are overpowered, but that they gain reinforcements so quickly before you can wreck the first 3 chasing you at heat 2 or 3, that 3 more are on you again, but this time they're all Mustang GTs and Corvette Grand Sports instead of Crown Vics, yet you're still driving around in Lancer Evo or a damn 180SX. It's completely imbalanced at low level. Based on some of these replies, it's even worse at high level, but in the opposite way; WE become too powerful.
My cars are all 400+ and my group has discovered a few tactics to escape heat 4-5 police. For one, lead them to the circle track behind the main garage, run a few laps and they'll eventually lose you.
Another option is to head towards the big mall and parking garage. On the second floor, there's a jump that will launch you on top of the building. The police can't reach you there.
I admit it's a bit of a cheese, but when I have 1mil+ rep I'll take any advantage.
