NFS Heat Level 3+
Can we please talk about how ridiculous the cops become overpowered after heat level 2? EA has made this awesome atmospheric night time mode where the cops are truly out to get you, but they're so ov...

You realize that we all started at the same point? I surely never complained and I bet you'll be laughing at yourself in a few weeks once you realize how novice the issue you're complaining about is.
You're all asking for a game where the progression is fed to you, simply because you can't handle a challenge. But if the game were made easier to compensate for everyone's lack of driving capability, you'd all be complaining how the game is too easy. It is absolutely beyond me how everyone struggles to outrun cops, I would love to see a video of this hardship.
Otherwise, here's a few tips for you to level up: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Quick-Guide-and-Boosting-Tips-to-Max-Level-Spoilers/td-p/8412313

There should be some sort of Heat Lock based on level (Heat 1 until lvl 10, Heat 2 until lvl 20, Heat 3 at lvl 30, Heat 4 at lvl 38, Heat 5 at lvl 43).
They could easily compensate each heat level (specially 1 and 2) with additional cars and specific tactics.
See, there's a constructive idea. The drawback is that your Rep gain multiplier increases at each Heat level, which would limit lower level players to a slower grind towards the max. That being said, considering I went from level ~26 to 50 within a few hours, this could really increase the length of the grind (in a good way).
But then we'd just see more people complaining about cops because it would take them that much longer to level up for engine upgrades.
Regarding the "high speed tanks", the only one I could imagine being nerfed is the Rhino. I've tried racing one as it spawned to chase another player and the truck was easily pulling 250m/h. The rest of the cops really are not a problem, the issue is simply that your engine components lack to make the time gap you need. They can only keep up with you under 180m/h.
EDIT: considering the Rhino spawns heading towards you, the speed is only an issue if you can't dodge a truck which is marked on the map (well in advance), that flies at a speed so high that it cannot turn. It couldn't be easier to dodge them.

@Michael_RushAgreed. I genuinely didn't have any issues with the cops, at any point of the game really. My only problem is when I run up my Heat level around the Speedway and have an occasional cruiser spawn directly in front.
It's just so sad and triggering to see the vast volume of people whining. The game is incredibly well made. People are showing up to Heat 3 on a bicycle and crying that they're not allowed to get away with their stupid decisions :D
Can you teach us, Supreme Master? Any specific tips for bicycle Huracan Performante made by Lamborghini? Have you heard of them?

@ColAvalanche311I still say don't change anything. Leave it alone. Otherwise you take out the whole thrill of risking it for more mutiplier. I like thinking about have I gone too far this time, is this the time I lose it all gambling.
If the game is too hard for some of these people maybe Need For Speed Heat isn't the game for them. Might I suggest Need for Speed 2015...... or Mario Kart.
Might I suggest you finally get it through your head that arcade racing games are supposed to fun first and foremost, not challenging.

Of course, baby. The trick is to not use a Lamborghini, since they're incredibly * on a relative basis against most of the cars the game has to offer.
Once again, for those struggling with the cops, here is my guide to leveling up: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Quick-Guide-and-Boosting-Tips-to-Max-Level-Spoilers/td-p/8412313

Why should I use slower car like ZR-1? I can't even get 3 stars in Corvette every time.
Are you sure about outrunning cops at 180 mph is easy? Can you explain why I get rear ended by them constantly while doing 320+ km/h warp drive (12lb nitrous bottle) activated?
@SephraxWhat's your basis for "slower"? Your car's rep level doesn't mean anything whatsoever. If you look at acceleration, high speeds, and handling (huge), the ZR-1/Corvette Grand Sport got it in the bag.
As to your other questions, no clue. Either you're bad or you're slow. Could be the combination of the two.
Edit: if you want, screenshot me your exact car and components, I'll replicate it and see for myself. Better yet, come show me yourself.
That makes sense. Just like in 2005 Most Wanted. Unless you beat a certian black list racer, you didn't get higher Heat levels.

Speed trap trick on track. Do you know that? Huracan does that without issues while ZR-1 can reliably get 3 stars only with nos. Do you know that 10 parsecs long front splitter on ZR-1? Because of it you can't turn early which means you have to lift just before speed trap. Here's where we start to talk about acceleration.
8,1 for ZR-1 and 9,0 for Huracan Performante.
If you want to check them yourself:
All the parts that are available at level 42, no parts from high heat races, Elite everything you can at that level, single turbo, 12lb nitrous, track handling parts.

Cool, I'll try it out. Thanks
Here's another area in Downtown Palm City you can use to get away very easily. All you have to do is run through the little ramp at the end of the road, the cops don't follow you as it's technically off the map, and the few who slide in go straight into the water. You can jump it going 60mph.
wait till you try a lvl 5 heat run .... beat it then get stuck with a bugged helicopter that never goes away and never looses you even underground. yes the never emptying fuel tank and heat seeking misile pilot are awesome
I have my own posts on the cops. Yes maybe reduce rubber banding. And add new mechanics to further diverse the cops. Make proper roadblocks. Fix damage issues. Fix exploits. Fix certain pursuit bugs. Fix the helicopter mechanics. It's more of a filler if it really doesnt so anything but look cool in the sky.
Ever seen the helicopter come down to the road and chase you along it? it gets down to like 2 meters off the ground, it's hilarious. I'm hoping to get a takedown on one next time I see it
I have but what bothers me is it doesnt work correctly. If it sees You the cops chase should continue not end because of no ground units. Idk if thats intended but I doubt it because it sees you clearly so it confuses me why it just suddenly goes away because cops arent near me anymore
I spent the entirety of level 1 to 50 using the starter 180sx and yeah cops can be a bit of a struggle to begin with but once you get used to their tactics and upgrade your car a bit its a nice challenge, just keep a ramp nearby if you feel like youre gonna wreck. I’d just leave a waypoint on one in case sh#t really hit the fan and I needed a way out.
Pit maneuvers are pretty easy to avoid, just slam the breaks for a sec when they pull up beside you and swing around them then put your foot to floor. Cops can be shaken off your tail if you can zig zag between a few buildings and break their line of sight.
As people have mentioned once you upgrade your car past a certain point cops become a lot easier to leave in the dust. Repair and armor kits are also pretty handy to have equipped, the repair kits pretty much add two portable servo’s on you for emergency’s.
The only real issue youll encounter is going too fast down a freeway and having a corvette materialise in front of you hurtling you through the sky forcing you to scream bloody murder as every other player passes you laughing at your misfortune.
Aside from that though its a pretty enjoyable intense experience overall.
LOL, yeah, I just love this ghost pop up Cop Corvettes.
I had a few of those phantoms while cruising the highway.
Jamming to Judas Priest song Breaking the Law.....LOL
Guess the Law broke me and my car many times now....LOL
Have a good day and I took note of the tips you gave me.
Thanks!
Well, you know this franchise has a huge problem with rubber banning.
It seems like Ghost Studios or whatever former studio created this franchise game in the past
has caused many of us to keep asking them to loosen it up a bit.
Sadly every time a new game has released the forums here and
else where get filled up with this same issue time and time again.
I really don't foresee Ghost studios taking action to correct this plaguing issue feature of NFS Franchise.
I mean your right we get better part for performance but the cops and A.I. cars just magically catch up.
Game is laughable but many times brings frustration when racing too.
Have a great day and thanks for sharing this critical issue of this Franchise to the discussion table.
