NFS Heat Level 3+

My experience at the moment is i can get about two races done at night and if i don't make a move to a safe house after that i'm screwed. 

I got to a third race at level one, avoided all cops, started the race and half way into the first lap there was a cop.  That's ok they go after other racers its fair enough and i lost the cops in the race but that means nothing because i was going to meet up with them again on the last lap.  So once the race was done i was in level 3 trying to get to a safe house and they were on me like glue, rubber banding past me like rockets and bouncing my car around as if it was a pinball.  No matter how many short cuts or drifts, nitro's i hit, they were there.  I went to 3 gas stations and ran out of repairs, drove past 4 safe houses with a red circle around my car on the map so clearly had to keep running.  There were cops everywhere, once i made a gap more showed up in front and the cops in the rear would just fly past me again.

So at the moment for me this is slow progression, if later in the game the cars can out run them then fine.   But i have lost so much hard earned rep trying to strategies my night races that once i have been wiped out i'm pretty defeated with the experience and flick over to something else to play.  I get the urge to throw it back on but the thought of trying to earn rep on nights to progress is honestly putting me off.  After day races I linger in the garage tuning and almost have to force myself to keep playing and that's not fun.

I could be crap at the game i dunno i play a lot of racers though but that's beside the point.  I like the challenge but it's a crap shoot, feels broken.  I will give it my time this weekend and if i'm still forcing myself to play it then sadly its going on ebay.

I was thinking about buying Heat, as right now I am only playing it via Premier. And frankly, with how the game is in it's current state, I just find myself going "I'd rather be playing Forza Horizon 4." 

So I don't plan on having a swipe, or yelling at the dev's or anyone else here - I agree with Boo, they are correct in saying the BIGGEST killer of enjoyment is the rubberbanding, 600km/h cops that fly into you like kamikazi pilots from WW2. When I'm doing 300km/h and they fly up from over a kilometer behind me, then RAM me at double my speed cause of Rubber-banding, or they suddenly go "Oh, I want to be on top of your friend who I need to wreck for this story mission... UBER NOS!" and the next thing I know, it's 2k's down the road and already back on the 'friend' car in story mode? 

Sorry. I'm just going to say, simply, until you fix the fact cops are simply not fun, and are disobeying the game mechanics.... I will not recommend this game to anyone, nor will I purchase it: You have made vast improvements, this feels like the Underground / Underground 2 of old, mixed with TNFS and NFS: Hot Pursuit. Unfortunately, the police in this game are just frustrating and in no way a challenge - a challenge would imply a reasonably level playing field, not AI that would - if they were players - likely see themselves banned for exploits. 

So please, as a player who sincerely wanted to enjoy your game, but simply finds your rubber-banding AI (both Police and Racers) eternally frustrating as a mechanic... do something about it before your game ends up on the pile of trash NFS games like every other one since Underground 2: You have the makings of the best NFS in over a decade, but you are rapidly driving away the CORE players of your game especially if you listen to the few people going "THERE IS NOTHING WRONG YOU JUST NEED TO GET BETTER!", well no, no people don't need to just "get better", you need to address why people are disliking your game - and the vast majority are all saying the same thing: Rubberbanding is *. 

I know at least three other people who were excited for this game, everything I told them make them go "Alright awesome game..." until I explained I watched people in racers get 1km ahead of me, the next race - repeated - same cars, that same car was 10m behind me. Third race, it was 2km behind by the end. Same car. Same race. Same AI. Same Player Car - Rubberbanding / super speed all over the place in such outlandishly obvious ways. 

TLDR - Sorry, at present your game isn't enjoyable, and Forza Horizon 4, and the upcoming Forza Motorsport 8 are most likely FAR better choices for racing games then yours, unfortunately. 

If you guys spent even half as much time trying to improve your cars and make them faster, as opposed to complaining and whining, you'd be fine.

There are a lot of people not having any issues with the cops. There's just that select group of whiners that immediately run for the forums to complain when something isn't just handed to them. And now you're all running a herd mentality thinking everyone is struggling.

The game is easy and the cops are easy. You're just slow.

I honestly CBF with night mode now. I just want to play through the game and dont have time to replay races to build rep because I keep getting caught.

At the moment I have to play one night race, pray I don't run into any police and then drive through forests to get to a garage to claim the rep. Then start again. Very frustrating.

if I don't lose the cops within the first 10 seconds, I pretty much know I'm not going to outrun them. And I don't bother to keep any money before I go into night mode, I just sit on $0 until I build enough rep for the next lot of parts.

I'm on level 23 with the best spec car and maxed out the pro+ and elite parts. And I can't outrun level 0 heat police..

There's no way this is normal, especially in easy mode. 

@Michael_RushSome cars seem to allow them earlier or have them standard for a few categories when I buy them

This.People try to be hero when dealing with cops.People who constantly whining in this topic say, they end up getting busted while they try 2 ram cops as in MW 2005 days.This game is about to outrun the cops not ram & destroying their cars.Trying to crash cop cars in this game only make things worse where you keep damaging your vehicle and force the police get reinforcements, ie more trouble for you to deal with which end up possible bust!

I was thinking police being too fast in many occassion until I buff my M4 cabrio & Countach which the latter has incredible accerelation even stock.

My only tip for chases is to get showcase tires, so you will have a subtle handling between grip & drift which leads an absolute advantege when luring cops to other direction where you sharply turned.

I'm currently level 23 and I just don't bother with Heat 3, as soon as I get to Heat 2 I just go back to a safe house and reset. The risk just isn't worth it, my car is at 310 and can't out run Heat 3 cops, they seem to just instantly catch up and overtake regardless and I'd rather not lose money and the rep multiplier. 

For me police too easy on heat 5 :/ no chellenge
