NFS Heat PC Crash

I don't know what to do anymore.

As of yesterday (November 13th), I have tried everything in the forums, online, and various different methods and recommendations, with no success, from uninstalling/reinstalling the game, to changing priorities and boot setups on my computer.

All I get is a black windowed screen as I launch the game, and in under 30 seconds, it just closes, crashes, no audio, nothing, just blank and closes.

There was an update on today(November 14th), all excited, to only being met with more disappointment, repaired files to make sure... nothing.

Is this a common issue? Is it being looked at AT ALL?
Really disappointed about this

  • As a heads up to people try unplugging any additional devices from your pc that you are not using, ive been having this game issue for over 6 months and today i finally fixed it. how? unplugging an Xbox360 guitar hero dongle! so because I had that and a xbox one wireless adapter plugged in I guess it confused the game and caused it to not boot, so only plug in the devices you need to use at the time!

  • buy a new voeding! a non modulair! my crasht with 3 games and change my voeding. and all is working perfectly again

  • Good news! I have finally found the main reason why NFS Heat crashes with a brief show of a blank screen at startup.

You need to remove XBOX Game Bar from Windows. To do so, simply open Powershell and run the following line:

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

Then run the game in compatibility mode for WIndows 8. To do this, right-click on the game executable or its shortcut, click on "Properties", go to the "Compatibility" tab and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 8" and press "OK".

Let me know if this solves your problem. 🙂 Happy gaming.

P.S.: If you still have issues, in addition to these two steps, do everything everybody else is proposing such as disabling other gaming overlays and installing/updating DirectX, VC++ Runtime, Graphics drivers, etc.
