First of all I have to say that I so gar really enjoy NFS Heat.But In have issues with the Performance Level of the Cars and the Cars Automatic Transmission.For example: In the Steeldragon Event (I dont know If thats the exact Name, in German its Stahldrache) i have a realy hard time keeping up with the top 3 Cars, eventhough my Car is 30 Performance Points above the recommendation (in the Finish P1 had a Level of 201, I have 230).You might think that my Car should be quicker everywhere, but it seems like I only make up time when I cut corners pretty hard. Especially on uphills it seems that the Car does not downshift early enough and you dont accelerate at all because of a too high gear.The Car I am driving is the E46 M3. I had no such issues with the Starter M3.Difficulty was Set to medium after I couldnt even keep Up with 3rd place on hard.Anybody else experiencing similar issues? Or am I Just that bad?

I drove a 252 LandRover (somewhere on the top left corner's bottom right part) in an offroad event which required me to be 240. I could not win no matter what i tried. Then i went on full top left corner to be off-road max. It set me back to lvl 212, and I won, it wasn't easy but it wasn't hard either. [playing on medium]

@Grantelb4rtI've come across this a lot also, yes Thekiskunk, the race-style matters, but, using a race I just attempted as an example, I have a 343 rated road race rated car, in a recommended 280 road race. To win it, I have to literally plow through the 2 - 7 cars, then have a perfect run against a 260 rated car, and there's still a chance that I may lose the race. I agree with Grantelb4rt, that there is something wrong with the ratings especially as they apply to the AI drivers.Even more annoying is finishing up a race storyline, and because of the rating issue with some of the AI car/drivers, having to build up a car with Super and Super+ parts only to get a Pro part as a "prize"

@Grantelb4rt Same here brother, I run a 230 level car but for the life of me can’t catch up to the number 1 and 2 cars on steel dragon and when I do it’s like I’m reverse rubberbanding them pushing them forward. I have a replay where I drive a near perfect race and come in third about 100m behind. It’s ridiculous.

The automatic trans does not down shift properly, I prefer using my wheel and pedals, but some morons decided to make a racing game with no wheel support....and I suck with a controller....

@Yetskii Yeah, I am all for wheel Support too. Stock placement for manual shifting is also quiet difficult. After going to a car with a much torquier engine it wasnt an Issue for me anymore though, then the automatic seemed to do just fine.@PhoenixGI13 Pretty much exactly my experience. I have the feeling that once you are in front, the race is pretty fair with P1 sticking with you and overtaking you when you miss a Corner, but playing catch up is really hard...

Yeah, there's definitely something wrong with the recommend performance level. I'm using a car with a 280 performance level car on a track that recommends 200 and the best I can get is 3rd. Even if I manage to get near the the two cars in the lead (by cutting corners or drifting into them), they just zoom right by me. It's like they get faster the closer you get to them. I'm lapping other drivers and running near perfect laps! Needless to say, this makes the game very frustrating to play. EA -- what's going on here?!

Yes, I am having this issue big time. I believe it is because when you change suspension mods (differential, tires, suspension), it raises your car lvl. The problem is that when you get into a race, those cars are just sooo much faster than my car!
I am still a lower lvl, car is 280 and I cannot come close to winning a 240 lvl race. I simply cannot catch up ever!

Yeah I'm having no such problem with the starter M3 too, if anything quite the opposite. I'm wondering if it's because with a higher performance car the game is spawning AI in much faster cars and/or more capable driving code.
