NFS Most Wanted 2012 fails to load when using certain languages | Bug report

I've seen a few posts asking for help on this, but not a proper bug report yet.

Game: Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012

Platform: PC (Steam) Windows 10, though any system running the game through Steam appears to have the issue

Issue: Game gets stuck loading forever on the first loading screen before the menu

Expected behaviour: Game should load there for only a few seconds before proceeding to the main menu

Steps to reproduce:

-Purchase/Install the game on Steam, and install the latest update from 25/10/2022

-Change the game's language in Steam to either English or Nederlands (Dutch)

-Launch the game

-Game gets stuck

Cause: The game is missing the EN_US file for the English and Dutch languages, so the game is unable to load. They were removed in the update released on Steam on October 25 2022. The removed/changed files can be seen on SteamDB - https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/9333956/

Workarounds:

1. Changing the language of the game to something other than English and Dutch in Steam allows you to play, but doesn't fix the issue of playing on those two languages.

2. Another workaround that still lets you use English or Dutch is to do the following:

-Change the game's language on Steam to either 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese), Polski (Polish), or Čeština (Czech)

-Once the new language is done downloading on Steam, navigate to your Need for SpeedTM Most Wanted folder

-Copy/cut the new EN_US file

-Change the language on Steam back to English or Nederlands (Dutch) (whichever is preferred. This usually removes the old language files, which is why cutting/copying it was necessary)

-Paste the EN_US back into the Need for SpeedTM Most Wanted folder

This workaround works because those three languages use the same EN_US files as English and Dutch, while most of the written language in-game is controlled by the language set in Steam and other language files that were not removed in the update.
