NFS Rivals - Error code 00000069

Hi.

I recently upgraded to a PS4 and got NFS Rivals but I cant seem to connect online. I just get error code 00000069.

I have created an EA origins account using the same email as my PSN and have done everything I could find on the net to try and resolve. I have deleted the game and reinstalled, I have ensured that my PS time is synced online, I have run network tests (no other game is giving me this problem - only rivals), and still no luck playing online.

I find it ridiculous that I need some kind of engineering degree to just get what I paid for - a working game.

I hope this can be resolved as mu next step is to take to social media and explain my discontent.

Please assist.

    Hey Everyone,

Thanks for letting us know what you are running into with connecting to EA Servers in NFS Rivals.

First I would recommend trying the following based on your platform.

    Xbox

    Spoiler
    • Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
    • Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
    • Check for updates
    • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
    • Open you're Xbox NAT Type
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
    • Persistent Storage
      • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
      • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
    • Alternate Mac:
      • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
      • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
      • Select restart

    PlayStation

    Spoiler
    • Clear the systems cache (Close the game completely > Turn off the console > Wait 30-60 seconds > Restart and Relaunch)
    • Verify you signed into your PSN account
    • Check for updates
    • Restore Licence
    • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
    • Open your PS5 NAT Type
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
    • Entering Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database

    PC

    Spoiler

If you continue running into issues, please let us know the following:

    • Platform:
    • PSN ID/Gamertag:
    • Are you getting an error message?
    • Which modes does this happen in?
    • Does this happen to any other account on the device?
    • How long are you playing until this happens?
    • Are you playing from the device's internal storage or an external drive?
    • What type of network are you using? (Wired, Wireless, Hotspot)
    • Is anything else happening?
    • Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue:
    • If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
    • If on PC, please share a DxDiag and an EA app Error ID

    Thanks!

Funny Situation... because, i had exactly this Issue some "years" with my pc... in my opinion a combo with old pc hw + windows. who cares...

But now, new HW, ps5 and this f**** issue again.. hmm ok...

I've bin parallel @ my ea account and read ure spoiler 4 PS5 here.

...i had not test ure fixes (as b plan, nice to have thx 👌), because by chance i found this way...

For me, it seemed to be a good solution, stable, easy and that what here called.

Sony und ea wanna shake hands...

go @ browser ure choose, to "myaccount.ea.com", log in, verify ... go to "Mein Konto" or "my account"...  in that

Bottom, three is the "Verbindungen" or "connection" menu point, perform that  configuration or "handshake" btw ea & Sony accounts, verify, verify bla bla ... macOS Shutdown,

ps5 boot, nfs start... how it expectable, the ea - dialog starts, with that typical questions ... done, it runs ... all what i want.

    good luck

  • hey

It's very simple, install an app from the EA range of games, sign in with your PlayStation account to the EA app and you're ready to play
